I love the idea of having Batman pay Crane a visit in the nuthouse, I think that scene could work well, but then again we don't know the script or plot as of yet.

The casting sides had a scene with a mobsters 'bodyguard' apparently spraying fear gas all over some poor junkie and threatening to 'unscrew their brain.' If this is really a TDK scene do you think Scarecrow will be a bodyguard to Maroni or to the Joker?

I suspect Maroni, only because villain team-ups are so 1997. Either way I look forward to seeing how The Joker and ol' Crow will get along.

It looks like Murphy will return in TDK:

"The Scarecrow" Returns?
Author: Jett
Saturday, March 24, 2007 - 7:32 AM CENTRAL TIME: There are some rummblings that The Scarecrow -- as portrayed by Cillian Murphy -- may be returning to Gotham in THE DARK KNIGHT. When asked about that possibility a few weeks ago, Mr.Murphy was rather coy and evasive with his answer. With filming fast-approaching, a press-release is expected soon that will reveal the entire cast of TDK.

Ras Al Ghul's poison on Gotham what created Joker so even if Scarecrow tried to toxin on Joker wouldn't work and Joker would beat **** outta him.

How the hell do you know that the fear toxin CREATED The Joker..?

^We'll see. We need that damn press conference already......

Just in case anyone's wondering what I ment about the Scarecrow fear toxin' Joker in Knightfall --

He did it and Joker pretended to be scared out of his mind and then jumped out at him and was like "I have to be crazy not to be afraid! Oh wait, I AM crazy! Maybe thats why it doesn't work on me!"

I never read Knightfall, so it could happen in TDK?

it's decent stuff. Art leaves something to be desired, but it's basically the whole story arc that's the introduction of Bane. Joker and Scarecrow team up and kidnap the mayor. And in the end, Joker turns on Scarecrow = big suprise huh? lol

Hey Anjow, this press-release that Jett has mentioned, is it really coming soon? (I only ask since I know you post over at BOF).

I can't say, seeing as I don't work for the WB nor do I know anyone who does.....yet.

But if you want my opinion as a poster who's been going back and forth in discussion with Jett, I'd expect it within the next 2 weeks or so. But don't quote me on that, I don't wanna get flamed if it's not in the next 2 weeks.

Me personally.....I think it's coming this upcoming week. But thats just me and no concrete backing.

In TDK Nolan could use Mr Victor Zsazz (spelling?) instead of Bane. What do you think?

.....well, not quite sure what you mean by that?

I just wanna know what this press release is coming! :(

I seem to recall the Begins cast being known before filming (save Gary Oldman.)

Anyway - Yay for Cillian's return! :woot:

Miranda = Basically Jett has been alluding to an upcoming press release that

1) Officially declares Eckhart - because it was released in the trades but never a publication by the WB.
2) The supporting Cast and what characters they'll be playing most likley.

Granted, I don't think we'll have to worry about any tom-foolery (that phrase doesn't get enough play....let me say it again....tom-foolery) as there won't be any trick roles as was with Watanbe and Neeson.

Awesome! Also, tom-foolery is a cool word. :woot:

Someone intimated awhile (I think it was when the Alan Dale rumour first came up at AICN) back that a press release was due in March...and we've only got one more week left. Is it too much to hope we'll get it next week?

Ah ok, cheers for that Anjow.

i thik the movie will start with a joker attack, but he'll get away, and when gordon and bats are discussing the problem, gordon will mention that crane was recently captured and taken back to Arkham, and bats will ask if gordon if he can pull strings and make and oppurtunity for bats to have "conversation" with crane:batty:

I also expect to see the official website up and running this week too.... along with the official logo, whether it's the rusty bat, or maybe the actual "title logo" with Arial Black font. Just a teaser site though. If the press release is coming... the website will be here too.

Hell, Iron Man's site is up.

I don't think we'll be seeing Dr. Jonathan Crane in TDK. I do think we'll be seeing the Scarecrow though. At least I'm hoping that the calculating creepy as hell Crane from the original has progressed into a truly demented killer without any plausable sanity (or much of a memory of his former self) to play second fiddle as some type of bodyguard. I think he's Gotham's first SUPERvillain on the loose. Also, he'll probably gobble up about 15 minutes of screentime before the Joker kicks into gear.

I actually don't wanna see him in TDK, coz if i am not wrong we already have two villains and one another will make the movie packed out… though it will be a good idea to mention about him in the movie.

We (hopefully) won't have Two-Face in this movie, just Harvey, until the very end. So there's plenty of time for a small role for Scarecrow in the start of the movie, especially for Batman to take him down and send him to Arkham (ironic, no?).

I hear you very well itsthebatman. As long as the Scarecrow character is contributing to the story as oppsed to a "Bond" type of intro to the film.

Again, the character should be even more interesting now, physically because he's had his face tasered and psychologicallly he's an off the charts lunatic.

If Scarecrow does get used in this movie then this is the way he should be.

Also there should be a more imaginative use of the fear gas. I would love to see a fear/fantasy sequence inspired by this:

Maybe subsitute Rachel or Alfred for Batgirl. Or if you wanted to get really imaginative, how about a return of a more lethal and brutal Ras that Batman faces after exposure to the fear gas.
