Since he's pretty much gone completely insane, I'd like to see him speak in nursery rhymes a little. Mumbling them to himself while he's working on a new fear formular or about to gas some helpless victim.

That'd be creepy as hell. Mumbling nursery rhymes.

he should have this kind of texture imprinted into his skin. As the burlap electrified it scored thin lines onto his face, in two 'patches' where the taser forks hit. Any scarring should invoke a Scarecrow design.

Here's kinda what I mean about burlap textured burns. It should resemble two fabric 'patches' where the taser forks hit. Could probably have some blacker areas though.

yeah that's exactly what i'm thinking.

Whats with making all of Batmans enemies disfrigured. I think it would be cool if we saw him in full scarecrow outfit. The fear gas has made him completly crazy so it wouldn't be too out of nolans realism to have him in that get up.

Anyone think Crane might look a little different if he is indeed in? The last time we saw him he had a taser stuck to his face while being dragged away by a horse.

Could be possibly have some facial problems of his own? Not acne..

I know that Nolan always aims for the realism in these movies, but I'd prefer the Scarecrow to have a more full-body costume if he re-appears. In Batman Begins, the mask was great; even better when seen under the influence of the fear gas, but I didn't really like seeing Crane wear the raggedy mask coupled with a smart suit.

The end of the movie showed the way to go, with Crane in a straitjacket.

As a fan of Doctor Who, the British sci-fi series, I was recently pleased to see scarecrow villains appearing in an upcoming episode of that show, and I think the Scarecrow should have/should look like these villains. Here's some links to pictures -

I wonder if they'll "off" him in this movie...or will Joker just beat the crap out of him? If the series has a successful run, I believe there is a lot more that can be done with Scarecrow.

all they'd need to do is throw in Mad Hatter...and they can go back and forth with the riddles like the long halloween...

I found that amusing, actually...

Where the hell is all this "disfigured" talk coming from?

He wasn't set on fire or anything. He was hit with a tazer. I'm sure they shot each other in the face with tazers in an episode of "Jackass" once...

I think he'd be good in raggedy clothes, work boots, an old hat (like a fedora or something), and bits of straw poking out. Kind of like he's been hiding out in a cornfield. Definetly a weapon. I'd be cool with a pitchfork, but a scythe would rock out.

I like the pic in page 1 but think the mask with a dress suit adds to the "bizarre" look. Its scarrier IMHO.

Come back with the raggedy clothes to help Joker then get the **** beat out of him by the Joker...

He had blue shining through his mask. It looked like a major malfunction.

I'm not saying disfigured, but maybe he's marked around his eyes or something. I can see Nolan trying to put more focus on his eyes.

Doctor Who is having scarecrows? Awesome. Can't wait til it starts here.

(New here; hi! *waves*)

I find a highly disfigured face rather unlikely. Tasers leave pretty small scars, generally, and even with the mask on I doubt that any massive scarring could occur. We may not even see Scarecrow/Crane's face in the film at all (though I hope we will).

So, bets are up: I'll put down five bucks saying we get to see Scarecrow both with the mask and without.

Thats a great idea

With all the talk about surrounding Scarecrow's possible "new" look in TDK, I thought I'd put in my two cents.

Regarding his face: I'd imagine that if there was any scarring, it would be two small marks. Possibly larger than typical taser burns, because if it were me, I'd want to get that burlap out of my skin!

Regarding his costume: I thought about the traditional "scarecrow" look for a bit, but then I thought about Crane's personality. Nolan's Crane is very organized, professional and meticulous, from what we've seen. He also has obviously made enough money to be able to afford a nice suit. I'm not sure if he would go for something that was already tattered and worn. Granted, the Scarecrow part of himself may be entirely different; who knows? Personally, I imagine that Scarecrow would wear a suit that got more torn up gradually throughout the film. Hopefully, coupled with the nearly-forgotten "Stage Two" mask:

Regarding his mask: Well, I think my thoughts on what should happen are clear enough. :yay: Though burlap sacks are a dime a dozen, "Stage Two" would have a much more terrifying effect on the victim, and would look far better with a suit, IMHO.

(And yes, I realize that the main reason "Stage Two" wasn't used for BB was because Nolan was afraid it would cause the rating to jump up to R. But after seeing the Joker's look, the darker feel we're supposed to have in TDK, and the sides I've seen, using "Stage Two" seems like a natural progression.)

I think they could get away with the "Stage Two" mask (PG-13). I actually hope TDK will be "R", but that probably won't happen. If we see the Joker through feargas, we can definately see Scarecrow in the Stage Two mask. It looks SO cool, I get all hyped just looking at it.

Blah, I know.

Even though I was one of 'em back in the day, haha... My father would have taken me regardless.

We love our Batman.
