I saw Predator when I was five years old, I don't see why the f-bomb and lots and lots of blood is bad for children. Regardless, an R rating is not necessary.

The Joker needs his trademark gas/smilex - who better to get to make it for you than the Scarecrow? Would give a legitimate reason for his reappearance. :yay:

Nolan said that he doesn't even want this franchise to be rated R. He thinks that Batman is a PG-13 character and I agree despite all the bloody graphic novels, Joker's kills, and mob action that pervades the character.

R rated Batman would be all sorts of ghey. Another fanboy wet-dream movie like 300 that just ends up lame and soggy.

Where the hell is all this "disfigured" talk coming from?

He wasn't set on fire or anything. He was hit with a tazer. I'm sure they shot each other in the face with tazers in an episode of "Jackass" once...

the only reason scarring came up was because of the burlap. sure a regular taser leaves no mark but people were wondering it burlap would burn or 'melt'. I just think it's cool it could leave a Scarecrow motif on his his face, two 'cloth patches'.

I like the big jacket in this picture. Lose the straw and the hat, add the stage2 mask and he'd look pretty scary.

Love to see him in a newer outfit resembling the Scarecrow a bit more faithfully!

Well i think nolan can push the PG-13 limits, stretch them as much as it is allowed. LOTR pushed the limits of the rating in some scenes and no one cryed about it(ROTK decapitated gondorian heads anyone? and some other scenes as well.
I think stage 2 SC shouldn't be a problem specially with the joker we have now.

So, these 'stage 2' scenes: can anyone tell me, were they gonna be the same scenes just with a different look to the mask, or new scenes altogether?

That's the thing, the way BB eventually played out it makes no sense for Scarecrow to have another scarier mask. The one he had was a prop to scare patients and victims and the SWAT guys just gave it back to him. So I don't get how a 'stage 2' could have originally been planned, maybe after he busted out he goes home and decided it's time to 'get serious' and grabs another mask. kinda lame tho.

so scarecrow is going to be in TDK? correct?
but no one is sure if it's goint to be Cillian or someone else... or just some actor wearing the scarecrow mask/cotume the whole time? correct agin?

It will be Cillian if Scarecrow is in TDK. I seriously doubt he will be in it without speaking at all...

Technically they could still do it. They distorted his voice under the mask anyway. Not like people are gonna notice if he has the mask on at all times.

They'll have to show his face to remind the audience who he was in BB. Have to assume many people have only seen BB once.

EDIT: Closerframe that's excellent  Exact costume I'd like to see im TDK

Anyone think Crane might look a little different if he is indeed in? The last time we saw him he had a taser stuck to his face while being dragged away by a horse.

Could be possibly have some facial problems of his own? Not acne..
I really hope his costume looks like this in TDK:

Villains from an upcoming episode of Doctor Who.

What's the difference between showing the face/mask? One would assume after seeing some sort of fear gas reference, they'd know who he was.

Just showing Cillian Murphy will help jog a lot of memory about BB's plot. Not everyone will necessarily remember what the character was all about, the creepy and corrupt psychiatrist who got spayed with his own chems...that isn't clear from just seeing a burlap mask.

Also if you've got a talented and distinctive looking actor you may as well show him off a bit.

That isn't clear from just seeing a face either. :p

Of course not, but it's more than the mask alone. Visual cues aid recall :cwink:

yeah seeing the actors actuall face would help more than just seeing a mask... especially if they decide to change the mask at all

he should have this kind of texture imprinted into his skin. As the burlap electrified it scored thin lines onto his face, in two 'patches' where the taser forks hit. Any scarring should invoke a Scarecrow design.

Not every Bat-villain needs to be scarred/burned.
