You just had to assume.

Not to mention two other things.

1. Batman can contact Gordon as seen in the scene he has Alfred send him the text to his phone about which cops have family in hospitals.

2. He's done this many times in the comics...just leaving villains/thugs securely tied up for the authorities like a present.

I believe in one comic Scarecrow actually sprays fear gas on the Joker and nothing happens. That would have been a cool scene to see I must admit. But sadly that is one of the drawbacks with a movie you have a timeframe.

yeah he was in it, but it was like a 2 second crap thing. it was horrible i wish that they would either show more of him or not show him at all. it was too lame. hopefully he'll be back in the next one

My good buddy thought it was sort of weak that Scarecrow was only in the film for 5 minutes and didn't add to the overarching plot of the film.

I said I could see his point since the character is so cool, but a cameo is a cameo for a reason, and he's just there to A) Wrap up what happened to him since BB and B) Show that freakish criminals are becoming more powerful and problematic for the old school/respectable Gotham Crime Families.

So maybe we will see Dr. Crane appear in Arkham yet again if the 3rd film has any rise of the Freaks storyline.

Oh, and I love his little appearance in TDK. I hope Murphy turns up again, he's too talented to keep on the sidelines. Although I do wish that we had seen what the Bat-fake was seeing when he got gassed.

Then I hope they make a Scarecrow optional DVD especially for you, since you found the shortness of his screen time to be that traumatizing. I also think he should have had more screen time, but I enjoyed him for when he was there. And remember, Nolan didn't HAVE to put him in there at all (and I'd imagine you'd be whining even more if he hadn't, despite your complaint). He could have just given Batman, Gordon, or the news guy a small line mentioning Scarecrow being captured.

Scarecrow's appearance was there solely for the fans, but some people do not understand what it means to be grateful. Those people watching TDK who hadn't seen Begins had no clue who he was.

Why can't people understand that this was supposed to be a cameo. Anything more was not necessary for TDK's plot and would have simply been gratuitous.
