did anyone else notice his voice was slightly disstorted when he said ".....thats if the batman left anyone else to buy from...." he sounded sorta demonic there.

Well...not demonic. He talked differently though. More self-assured, more arrogant. He was so cool in this flick. I hope we see him again.

WATCH OUT USA! The Scarecrow is Running for VP!

It wouldn't be the first time he's put on some makeup to try to deceive people.

But here's the REAL shocker...
Scarecrow is Catwoman in the next film! :wow:

Yeah, his voice was missing the distorting effect that it had in Begins. I guess that part of his mask was destroyed in between films? Because in Begins, it sounds like his mask has a voice distorter inside it. Maybe Batman took it for himself? ;)

I'm sure his voice is distorted in TDK. I'm watching it right now and as he says ".....thats if batman left anyone to buy from....." it sounds weird and demonic

I dunno. His voice is definitely slurred and muffled for sure, but not electronically distorted the same way that it was in Batman Begins.

Compare his "Buyer beware..." lines in TDK to the Falcone interrogation scene, the lighting Batman on fire scene or the "Who knows you're here" scene and you can definitely tell a difference.

Yeah, his voice was not distorted in TDK. It was just his regular voice. I don't think there ever was a voice distorter in his mask. Weren't the voice effects caused by his fear gas?

I think that would be because his voice changed only for the ones he scared with the toxin, so in TDK, we don´t se a first person view from anyone who has been poisoned, (like the fake Bat-Men)

Thats what I always thought as well because at the end of begins I could've sworn when rachel and the boy were running from him that only the boy heard his distorted voice.

I'm pretty sure there was a distorter in the mask because in the scene with Rachel in the Asylum--when he asks her "Who knows you're here?"--the voice is distorted even though the perspective isn't from Rachel's POV. Remember, in Begins, we are given visual cues whenever a scene is taking place from the POV of a gas-infected person. That scene where he's standing above Rachel is a "normal" perspective scene and his voice is still altered.

The Scarecrow preys on fear, it's what drives him.
He was trying to sound spooky because it fitted in with his image. He's nuts but he's also sane enough to try and embelish the Scarecrow persona for his own gain.
