Scariest Moment of Your Life

I fell head first from a 12' high (maybe) platform on a playground when I was kid. Probably would've broke my neck but my foott grappled in between two bars and I just hung upside down for a bit. That was pretty scary/luckyasallhell

When i was about 10-ish, me and my bro and his mate were in the woods, there were air-raid bunkers, inside nazi signs and stuff on the walls, mysterious red puddle, we heard people coming, we ran. My top got caught on a tree, riggled out, we ran across the field whilst two people stood on top of the bunker unloading shotgun shells(i guess they weren't at us, as they wouldn't have missed that many times, but we could see things hitting the tree line next to us). Went back later to find my top, now completely slashed up. a little scary i spose :)

Hard to say... I died, but that wasn't all that scary because I was too doped up to be scary. Getting married scared the hell outta me, but it was a good kind of scared. Going up the CN tower wasn't all that scary.

I'm not sure. Probably going back into school after I had my ribs broken in the corridor. All I could think of was that if they hit me again it could kill me but the teachers passed it off as an accident, so I couldn't move schools and I'd have to be in classes with people that had already attacked me once.

Try having a panic attack with broken ribs. Dare ya.

There's been a couple:

1. My cousin stopped breathing suddenly in the middle of the night for no reason when he was a month old. His mom realized it and came and got me and I figured out the poor little guy was way too hot, so I stripped him and he started breathing again.

2. My precious little puppy, Jack, when he was like 8 weeks old, choked on an acorn. I could see the panic is his adorable little face and he kept pawing at his mouth and "I was just thinking my baby is going to die and I can't save him." But I did and now he's a 75 lb. baby.

3. I almost drowned once. I wasn't as scared as you might think though.

1. Getting a call in the middle of the night, dad pokes his head in my bedroom and tells me that my paw-paw (grandpa) might not make it through the night. We drove down to his house, and he was in pretty bad shape. Nurse arrives, he's stabilized. Next day, he passed away. At least he died in his house, and he stayed himself.

2. Me and my friends in an old house we had no business in. In one of the rooms, a part of the floor I was standing on fell through. Fortunately, it was on the first floor.

1. Probably the scariest moment of my life was when me and a bunch of friends rented some speed boats, we each had one, I was the first to leave the dock and slowly exiting, one of my friends yelled at me to speed up, I hit the gas, then hit the front end of a boat crossing in front of the dock, my boat flipped and I landed in the water with the boat on top of me. It took two or three tries to get out from under the boat.

2. Another was visiting Sting Ray City, supposedly an area full of "friendly" Sting Rays, I went in the water and immediately about 5-6 Sting Rays came around me, got totally freaked out and jump right back into the boat. Only one guy ever got stung there before and that's because he lifted the Sting Ray out of the water, but I didn't even want to chance pissing one off.

3. Driving back to college the day after a blizzard in total white out conditions, literally couldn't see 10 feet ahead, skidded out and into a snow bank, had to back up to get back on the highway and just hoping no one would be driving in that lane as I tried to get back on the highway since they wouldn't see me until it was too late to stop.

1- Being attacked by a police dog (When i was about 10 or 11) that mistook my crutches for weapons. Even though i'd just been told that the best thing to do if approached by one of them was to freeze, I ran:whatever: Had i not have tripped over I'm told the dog would have bitten into my arm to bring me down.

Even now 10 years later i cannot approach a dog without *****ting myself.

2- When my little sister stopped breathing.

3- the last time i was really scared was as they were taking me into the operating room for my last major operation. Even though i've had more operations than i can count, this one really scared the ***** right out of me and i still dunno why.

why were people attacking you? thats really brutal that it happend at school, and it sounds like your teachers were nuts

Attacked by a dog as i walked pass a gas station at night, the dog had always been aggresive and barked when ever somebody went to the station. That night it decided to take a bite at my leg :csad:

To this day, I don't understand it. I met one of them by chance a few month back, and we got talking, so I asked him why. He just shrugged and said 'you were a freak. I don't know'

I have ausperger's syndrome, although it doesn't show much online because I can stop and look at what I'm saying before I say it, and weird habits don't show through. Either way, nothing I did in school was quite right.

The teachers didn't see the attack though. They got second hand accounts of how one guy shoeved his friend, who slipped on the floor, slammed into me and then we fell over and he landed on me, and my ribs got broken in the process. There were over 100 people in that corridor and none of them saw anything... You didn't argue with the guys picking on me if you wanted to live.

What actually happened is that one of the girls was walking down the corridor the other way, and slapped me straight across the face as she went past, for no reason. I grabbed her ponytail, so she turns around and smacks me straight in the stomach. I go down, and as I go her boyfriend kicks me in the ribs. Sound like breaking eggs, and a burning in my lungs that nearly made me piss myself. And then they started laughing.

When my dad had me and my brother come sit at the kitchen table and went into a slightly overly dramatic speech about how sometimes people that do good things get threatened by those that are... well, not so good. Of course, after the story about Nazi Germany he told us why he was telling this, and the simple reason was that they had gotten a note at work, basically threatening to kill him. For the next two/three weeks we had a knife ready for use situated above the front door, a another knife next to the door and an air gun set just around the corner in the hallway.

It was pretty scary stuff for a ten year old.

im sorry to hear that Kyalesyin, sounds like they were the ones who were freaks, especially since you met up with one of them and it sounds like they still hadnt grown up

Walking into the den on a Tuesday morning before work, finding my husband asleep on the chair. Trying to shake him awake... :csad: and he wouldn't wake up... He was having a seizure, I had to call 911. :csad: From there it got progressively worse for about 3 days until he had surgery for his brain tumour and started to recover.

Thankfully he pulled through, but whenever I think of that day and all the things that could have gone wrong... :csad: I get scared all over again.

With all due respect, it isn't funny at all.

Is it funny that even now ten years later i cannot approach a dog because in the back of my mind i'm scared that it'll happen again?

No.

I actually had either a claw mark or a tooth mark on the back of my leg from where the animal had jumped at me.

Incidently a few years later it was revealed that the handlers at the police dog pound were abusing the animals around the time that this incident took place, So it's highly possible that this was the sole reason for the animals attack on me.

My daughter was one and I had to hold her down to get her shots and she was screamin bloody murder :csad: i never felt so helpless and scared.. my ex had to come in and they kicked me out cause i couldnt restrain her( i didnt wana hurt her):csad:

Sound like you should have had them charged with assault. :csad:

I was dragged around by my hair in the school yard in public school, and had a hard time going back after that... I can't imagine what it must of been like for you.

In fairness, it was pretty funny.

Why was it funny?

Would it have been funny if it was you?

Nearly drowning once. When my mate pulled me out my head was pounding & my nose was oozing blood. I remember thinking of some old wive's tale that if you're drowning & your head goes under 3 times then you ain't comin' out, anyways that's bulls***. My head went under 3 times and unfortunately I still here.
