Scenes you would add if you could

The shiar could work. Why not? They worked in the comics. The phoenix would have been the perfect 'draw' to bring the shiar in.

The problem these movies have is that they are so far away from the comics.

I'm glad they are not in spandex that is the only comic book feature I needed to avoid. Grounded in reality is what kept storm from flying in the first movie, oh that and a lack of budget.

No I have never really done them...I did do somewhat of a script for X3, but its very rare for me to write them if ever.

What worked in the comics doesn't necessarily mean they'll work in the movies...

Angel flying in during the final battle.......but carrying a couple of others with him:Gambit, Siryn or Thunderbird....now i would have stood up and applauded for that.

Can you imagine having a superman film and him not flying. exactly.

I can believe they didn't have the budget. Fine. But not that it wouldnt work because its a movie.

I think the writers were lazy and the director was lazy. They should have explored the powers and potential of all the characters fully. They should have stuck more to the comic storylines.

Everything they needed to make a good movie was in the comic book. It just amazes me that Harry Potter is closer to the source material than Xmen when comic books are the medium thats closest to film.

more screen time for angel...woulda been nice to see him come to the mansion sooner and when they realize they are outnumbered they say they'll take all the help they can get and angel fights with them...woulda been cool if juggernaut wasnt a mutant and when kitty tricks him into running near leech it doesnt work but colossus saves them and colossus takes juggernaut down and goes to see if kitty is ok and notices he cant "metal up" cuz of leech so he says get the kid outta here just as juggernaut is charging at colossus and colossus metals up just in time and a kick ass battle takes place...during the final battle we see a few glowing cards hit the ground at the feet of some soldiers and they explode, just as a little gift to the fans...all i got for now

I would have liked to see Iceman ice slide into alcatraz and have magneto hovering out of anyone's sight at xavier's funeral.

i'm going to look at this as realistically as possible, with all the studio politics and actors filming other films, i think the best possible solution to make the film better is another 20 minutes of character development

More Rogue
i think Rogue should have at least had two more scenes, one before she leaves she speak with Angel and about him refusing to have the cure. Gives some more background on his character and more reason to why Rogue is conflicted when she can see Angel is happy with his power

The other scene would to be her about to be injected with the cure when there is an attack, similar to the one in Astonishing X-Men where Beast sees mutants having the need to be normal. They could have caused some destruction where Rogue absorbs there power and saves some humans and realises the benefit of her powers

At the end there is a similar scene with Bobby, but she touches his hand with her glove on as she realises that she can use her gifts for the greater good and bobby must accept that.

More Angel
The scene with Rogue as mentioned before

A scene where he asks if he can join the x-men at alcatraz. They agree to let him come, a small action scene and him saving his Dad. I know this isn't much more but i think just a little extra action and emotion from him would have been better

Extended Scenes
Certain scenes were quite emotional but could have been better:

i think an extended scene with Mystique and Magneto in the truck. He should have gave a reasoning why to leave her, like he cant lead an army if he has to look after a human and it would go against human seperior and Mystique responding with a comment and possibly crying

Longer shot of Storm crying over Xavier's death

longer scene of the ice skating, it was over too quick

Magneto defending Charles to Pyro, i wanted him to say a bit more on the matter

longer shot of wolverine after hitting the flaw in the forest, it was too much "blink and you'll miss it"

More Callisto
She became quite a cool character, but we didnt really know much about her other than she was proud to be a mutant. An extra scene about her background and being shunned would have been appreciated.

More Cyclops
Ok well considering Marden wasn't on set much, i think just a couple of scenes before he died would have been better

I'd rather have him in a coma for most of the film and to return later on and with Wolverine help defeat Phoenix

OR

If he was to die, which makes sense as to why Jean goes crazy, have him in the danger room, but perhaps storming out half way through which gives the opportubity for an extra action scene

a scene with him and Beast, i would of liked Beast to give cyclops some hope and advice to make him feel a little better and what Beast thought of Jean as well as a scene with xavier

I think with just a few more scenes like this, i think the film could have benefited a lot more. The action was great and there was some good drama and emotion, but it could have been enhanced by some more character development.

What do you guys think of these ideas?

Angel talking to Rogue before she goes to take the cure...giving his opinion and reasons why he decided against it.

Extended final battle, fights between Storm and Callisto, Beast and Wolverine taking on the random mutants, more Kitty and Colossus fighting.

Storm vs Phoenix

More Mystique in human form...and a better way of Magneto rejecting her.

A few scenes where Archlight, Quills and Psylocke talk...give them a personality.

Just generally showing things that were cut to make the film shorter and have a faster pace..

Alcatraz Night:

Phoenix is standing in mid air. A fire bird surrounds her.

Scott:
We have to work as a team. Storm.

Storm raises up in the air and creates great winds and strikes Phoenix with lightning bolt after lightning bolt. Phoenix screams. She begins to resist invading Storm's fragile mind. Storm begins to feel like she is suffocating. Panting heavily, panicing.

Scott:
Wolverine!

Logan:
On it...

With a mighty heave Colossus throws Wolverine up in the air and he air tackles Phoenix. The two fall. Phoenix hits the ground first. Wolverine falls near her. Iceman freezes Phoenix in place she is now stuck. Iceman approaches her but she enters his mind.

Iceman:
Argggghhhhh....

Just then Scott rises to his feet and approaches her

Scott:
Stop.

Iceman collapses. Scott walks closer.

Scott:
We need to talk Jean.

Jean:
There is no Jean.

Scott:
Then kill me.

Jean:
You are not worth it.

Scott:
No, there is another reason. You won't kill me because you love me.

Jean:
Phoenix knows nothing of love

Scott:
And yet all these years you held back your power. You only unleashed it to save us, to save us at Alkali Lake. You sacrificed yourself for us. Jean, you are Love.

Jean:
No....yes...no...don't let her take me Scott...don't let me lose control.

Logan approaches Scott and Jean...

Logan:
Stay with us Jean, we can fix this, we can make it like it was...

Jean:
No...(calms slightly) only I can fix it.

Jean reaches out and touches Logan's forehead. He staggers hold his head. Almost as if he is dizzy.

Scott:
Jean, what are doing. It doesn't have to end here, I wont let you leave me again.

Jean: A piece of me will always be with you Scott.

She kisses Scott. Then she sends a giant telekenetic shockwave pushing both Scott and Wolverine (and Bobby) far away.

Scott staggers to his feet, Logan is on the ground. Scott hears a voice in his head.

Jean voice in Scott's head.
Goodbye Scott.

Scott cries out

Scott:
JEAAANNNNN!!!!!!

Just then a giant piece of sharpnel is brought up from the ground and Jean Grey telekenetically stabs it into her chest cavity. She dies.

Scott begins to cry, tears come down his face but he hears the voice again.

Jean's voice.
Scott...

Scott...

Promise me, no matter where you go

No matter what you do...

you won't go back into your shell again, Scott.

Scott:
I promise Jean...I promise.

Storm rushes over to Wolverine on the ground. She helps him up

Ororo:
Logan! are you alright.

Logan:
I....I....remember....everything.

Logan face looks surprised an amazed. His past has been unvielled to him. screen fades to black.

And the scene where dark phoenix stand and wreak havoc with only her mind kind of reminding me of that old 70's movie Carrie !

god where do i begin....

pretty much everything that was cut. the movie was missing around 14 minutes.

In the book, there was an extended version when pyro attacked the cure center and iceman had to save a bunch of people. He even made ice slides so they could escape out of windows from the fire. That would've been sweet.

Logan face looks surprised an amazed. His past has been unvielled to him. screen fades to black.

Since you all like what I did so far and I have been writting an X3 for a while now I will tell you how I would end it.

There is a funeral procession (by the way Xavier lives in mine, its more like the real Phoenix Saga). The palbearers are Scott, Logan, Colossus, Beast, Angel and Iceman. They set the casket down and Logan and Colossus put roses down and back away leaving only the original five. They slowly begin to take their seats in the reverse order they joined the X-Men in the comics starting with Angel and leaving Scott the only one standing.

The Priest approaches the podium and begins to read from the Bible

Priest:
My friends, we are gathered here on this beautiful spring day to mourn the passing of Doctor Jean Grey, beloved friend and...

The voice of the priest trails off. The camera pans over the crowd we see the Priest step down as Scott rises to take his stand at the podium. He takes out a note.

We do not hear Scott's words.

Cut to a shot from inside the grave of the casket being lowered.

They we see it pan away from a grave marker titled "Jean Grey".

The front of the school is brimming with activity. Kids are running in an out. One of them runs up and hugs Storm who is waiting in the driveway.

Kids are running through the hallways and Logan starts to head for the door with a bag over his shoulder. Scott is coming down the hallway at the same time and stops him.

Scott:
Heading out?

Logan:
Yep. Got some stuff up North.

Scott:
Yeah...hey you'll need a ride.

Scott fishes in his pocket and pulls out a set of keys and throws them to Logan. He catches them and turns around and looks out the front door window.

There in the driveway is Scott's motorcycle.

Scott:
You know you'll always have a home here Logan.

Logan:
Thanks.

Next shot is of Wolverine mounting the motorcycle he turns it on and speeds out the front gate. Scott and Ororo are standing on the front porch. Ororo smiles as they watch him leave.

Ororo:
He'll be back

Ororo turns and enters back into the house.

Scott:
They always come back.

We see Scott as he looks from the deck down at Jean's memorial as he says those words.

Enter a bar room at night:
Several patrons are getting drunk at the bar. hitting on women. They all are wearing winter gear, its somewhere cold.

Just then a figure slams open the door with a THUD. Its logan dressed similar to the way he was in the first movie, only now he is wearing a hat to hide his face slight. He takes off the hat and throws it on the floor. He approaches the bartender. The same one from movie one.

He passes the cage on his way to the bar and looks it over.

Walks up to the bartender. Bartender give him a look.

Bartender:
Do I know you?

Logan:
...I'll have a beer.

Bartender looks chagrined about having his question unanswered. Bartender goes and gets him a beer. Slides it across the table.

Logan:
Hey.

Bartender:
What...

Logan:
I need some information...

Bartender:
Oh yeah...

Logan:
Yeah...tell me where I can find Victor Creed.

Music starts playing in the background. We see Logan step outside the bar and head back towards the motorcycle.

Credits role.

After Credit Scene (If I wanted to do one)

Doorbell rings we see Xavier roll towards the doorway and open it up. A very well dressed man stands in the doorway. A little girl is hiding behind his legs.

Xavier:
May I help you

DSS Worker:
Yes my name is Dr. Essex I work with DSS...

Xavier:
Alright.

DSS:
We have a little girl from a local orphanage she appears to be a mutant, we were wondering if you would...

Xavier:
Of course...

Xavier smiles and leans over in his chair a little...he looks at the little girl hiding behind Mr Essex's legs.

Xavier:
It's alright.

The girl sheepishly slinks out from behind the mans legs and moves into view. She has long red hair and is beautiful. Xavier looks slightly perplexed, but then maintains his normal eager look.

Xavier:
And what is your name little girl....

Girl:
Maddy.

[The Guard]

Shadow, your script, while decent, is a bit...convenient. It doesn't really follow any logic other than "this is what happened in the comics", sometimes to the letter. It doesn't particuarly speak to the movieverse's characters.

What would I add?

-A scene between Colossus and Kitty, showing Xavier's impact even on someone like Colossus, and providing him with a bit of depth

-Angel saving people in the battle.

-And Scott/Logan taking out Phoenix in the final battle after Scott calmed her for an instant, but I don't think Marsden's schedule allowed for it.
