I imagine they will want a new score for battles and stuff since they pick music to fit sequences
I think the one you might be thinking of is the Cerebro theme:I love ottmans soundtracks but I would like some more stand out pieces dotted throughout the film. I only really remember his stuff from the beginning and end of each film whereas fc had Frankenstein's monster that really hit me and X1 had one somewhere in the middle that I loved too
I kinda want the X2 theme to be for films with the OT cast only

Welcome!I think I fixed it for you.
I'm a fan of the original theme and I made a similar comment on another thread. Great minds...

My belief is that we will get the X2 theme again but we will see
ya'll have nice dayt:

That's exactly what I'd like. For Apocalypse, I like what he did in the the end-credit scene at the end of Days of Future Past. It needs some sounds nodding to Egyptian themes and really go out there, epic choir-like music similar to the film Stargate,
What Ottman did for Superman Returns was nothing short of AMAZING. So much emotion and tone in those tracks. The music basically made that movie.
For Apocalypse, I like what he did in the the end-credit scene at the end of Days of Future Past. It needs some sounds nodding to Egyptian themes and really go out there, epic choir-like music similar to the film Stargate, with a strong emotional core. It needs to be something new and original. Every X-men film doesn't need the same types of themes replying through each film nor should it try to emulate the soundtrack in the cartoons. The cartoons are its own thing. The film needs original score.
I love Xavier's theme. Won't even deny it brings a tear to my eye when I hear it but especially in DoFP when Older Charles tells younger Charles we need you to hope again. Breaks me down. I hope to hear it again too.I'd like to hear Xaviers theme somewhere in this film, though... It was a highlight.
