Apocalypse Scoring Age of Apocalypse - The Soundtrack/Music Thread

I really hope the ' You're X-men' is a variation of the X2 theme..would be so cool to see that in the closing minutes in the

Danger Room

Also hope we hear some Ottman choir stuff when...

Jean supposedly releases part of the Phoenix Force

God... I CAN NOT WAIT to hear this 3. Pyramid Collapse/Main Titles - 2:25

I adore Ottmans Main title tracks. This music is gonna be goooood. Something where Civil War completely missed the boat on.

The only theme memorable from X3 was Dark Phoenix Tragedy,
doubt they'd remix it for Apocalypse..

Wonder which one are good as my 4 best from DOFP:
'Join me'
'Hope'
'How was she'
'Time's Up 2'

I agree with you on Ottman's soundtrack.

When I went to see DOFP and the X-theme rolled in, I felt like a kid again, back in the theaters and watching X2 for the 1st time. I can't wait to hear it again in Apocalypse!

,,Eric's New Life"
Who's Eric?
Magneto's name is Erik.

please, list me the songs we heard in the movie. I heard there's a metallica song for example.

It's really something special isn't it? Even as good as the MCU movies are, they can not touch this stuff. Music is SO important to me, and I know Ottman will nail it. Gah, it's giving me chills JUST thinking about another X-Men epic... Even if it's generic or boring... whatever. It's NEW within the context of the series.

Ottman's X2, DoFP and Apocalypse score is the best score next to The Dark Knight. No other comic book movies have come close to those epic sounds that Ottman and Zimmer created for the movies.

I didn't love the score.

The score for the ancient Egypt scenes was amazing! But the rest, nothing really popped out to me. Hope was overused, and they kept playing it once Professor X enters the Cerebro. And I just wish it had more 80s songs.

I loved the soundtrack, Beethoven was used well too

Makes sense that he said it was less like DoFP. Days had a better score overall but it fit with the tone of the movie. I enjoyed the apocalypse one.

I think this might be my first time to buy an x-men soundtrack album when I find it.

Omg, that grand X2 sound.

i really liked "3. Pyramid Collapse / Main Titles", it was such a different sound i have heard in an X-Men movie

Having heard the entire album on Spotify and having listened to Ottman's interview, I get the impression that [blackout] Jean's [/blackout] theme is what anchors the soundtrack for this movie, much like how Hope anchored the soundtrack for Days of Future Past. This theme is the one that plays during the end credits, right after the X2 theme, similar to how Hope plays right after the X2 theme in DOFP.

[blackout] This theme is gorgeous, very reminiscent of the sweeping orchestral scores of fantasy and romance films. It makes me shiver just thinking of a possible Phoenix Saga with this as the main theme, both as the romance theme for Scott and Jean, and the darker version of it that could play if Jean goes Dark Phoenix. [/blackout]

I was quite impressed with the opening Egyptian music in the film. Certain Jean moments towards the end of the film too.

What? you can listen to the entire thing on Spotify? How do we go about this?

It's what Spotify does (and other legal software such as Pandora). It's available to download from its website. Once downloaded, you can search for most songs and albums on there. You just gotta put up with advertisements.

I was incredibly surprised to see this album be up so early though.
