Based on...?

If he does a great job of playing whatever role he was given, then he will have lived up to his potential. Not every actor is going to, or needs to, play the Dick Graysons of the DCEU.

I think in Fury he was listed relatively high up in the cast but was nothing more than a soldier who you saw in the background every once in a while.

Personally I'd just like to see him in a recurring role and think he'd be a great fit for Grayson.

I think he is Hal Jordan, pre GL. Hal had a military background, but I dont know if he is wearing Air Force fatigues or not in Suicide Squad.

I'm seriously convinced that he's New 52 Grayson now. Why else would Ben Affleck push to get him in another movie after working with him on this one? Batman's involvement in this seems to be a cameo sort of deal at most. The only actors Ben would have interacted with on set would be ones that have direct relation to his character.

They're probably going to play up that whole spy thing and have him be undercover in Waller's organization who has been locking up supervillains. That's probably why his name is Hooper or whatever - it's a cover.

I know I'm probably stating the obvious right now, but I'm too mind-blown about this. If it's true, I'll be ecstatic!

I highly doubt Hal Jordan. Introducing him in this movie would be the weirdest possible way to tease Green Lantern out of all of the other movies they could have chosen.

I don't think Ben Affleck casting Scott in his new movie is an actual confirmation that he's playing Dick Grayson.

I think he could work as Grayson but I haven't seen anything yet that makes me think that's who he is. Would be cool though.

Common sense and process of elimination makes it pretty clear he's Grayson.

...it really doesn't. Signs point to him being an original character - or someone with an extensive military background in the comics - than Grayson. I don't know how you're using "common sense" to come to your conclusion.

The two names that people are coming up with the most are Grayson and Slade. It will be interesting to see if he is either of them.

i'd love it if he was grayson. it'd be a pretty unique way to intro him into the universe.

He's just a military character with more lines than the typical one because he's got a good look to him. How does minor casting like this get blown out of proportion? It happens when there's no evidence so then it gives freedom to fill in the blanks. This is a square peg fitting into a round hole right now.

Yup, if Dick isn't the dead Robin in BvS, introducing him to the cinematic universe as undercover Agent Grayson who spies on Waller for Bruce is so damn cool.

The only reason I'm inclined to believe he's playing Dick Grayson is because Oracle makes a comment in BvS about Dick being somewhere undercover. That's what I've read at least, we will have to wait and see.

I would like him as Dick, but I'm not holding out hope.

Are you sure this is from a real script though? Because there were a lot of fake ones floating around.

Just a couple months from BvS.

We'll know more by then. That movie will let us know if there was more than 1 Robin or not.

There was more than one Robin.

BUT THEY'RE ALL DEAD!!!!!! EVERYONE IN THE DC UNIVERSE IS DEAD DEAD DEAD!!!!

While there is of course no definitive truth to the rumor of him being Grayson, and the likelihood of him just being a soldier is there, I still really like the idea. Didn't Eastwood say his character was going to surprise people?

I've seen people say that the Agent 37/Spyral stuff is too recent to work into the movies...but we're also getting Cyborg on the League, Diana as the daughter of Zeus, ARGUS being present, etc. Coupled with the fact that Grayson is easily the best thing to happen to the character since the 80s Titans stuff, and I can see why it would be appealing to DC/WB to latch onto it.

And Tim Seeley (one half of the Grayson writing team) is taking over the Suicide Squad book next month, with some crossovers between the two titles in the works...

This is all speculation of course, but I don't think the idea is as out there as people are making it out to be.

He did say that he has a scene with Joker.

While I am in the camp of believing there is a very good chance that Eastwood is indeed Grayson, the true "FACT" here is we do not know. we don't have any evidence other than speculation. calling it common sense is a very far stretch. There is just as much evidence of him just being a Agent/soldier/etc. as there is of him being Grayson.

I hadn't realized that. This is intriguing....
