Okay, here are a couple of pics from when I met Porter today at Wizard World. Porter said signing the comic book was a fruitless endeavor, but I did it anyway. He made a joke about how he would buy everyone drinks if he became superman.

The Aquaman conversation began with me listing off the roles revealed on iesb.net today. He then asked "Do you watch Heroes?" I answered yes and he then went on to say that while auditioning he heard that Issac the painter from Heroes is up for the role of Aquaman.

He also told me that he tested for the role of the Flash. Disappointment filled his face as he told me Adam Brody beat him for the part and that he got a call about it yesterday. Porter told me he had until Sunday to hear about any casting, but he made it clear that it would be a miracle for anything to happen now.

Porter was also completely surprised about the Supes rumor. I was the first to even tell him about it as no one at the con had asked him yet. Everytime I called him Clark or Superman, he would just laugh and say "don't buy into the rumors."

I guess that settles it, Brody is the Flash, and he's not likely up for Superman.

Porter was promoting Friday Night Lights and his upcoming Speed Racer role.
He had free pictures that he signed. Meeting him was really cool, and it made me wish he had gotten a part in the JLA.

there is absolutely no chance that they will find another 6"4 statue esque guy like Routh.

Routh IS superman.
I don't care whether anyone thinks superman returns was crap or not.
To me, Routh will always be the superman for this generation.

We were lucky to have Reeve, and now we have Routh.
I hope Routh gets another chance.
Having met him, he is a thoroughly nice guy who deserves a shot at superman again.

I can't imagine anybody else in the role.

Well I dont care if the JL Superman is subpar compared to Brandon Routh.

As long as Brandon continues as Superman, I dont care which random newbie actor they give us as JL Supes.

Though, I hope he isnt Australian.

I'm not a huge Routh or SR fan, but I wouldn't mind seeing the guy in JL if it means we won't get stuck with some random cat who kinda sorta looks like George Reeves.

Either make the franchaises seperate or make them one universe.

Interestingly enough Porter has more screentime experience than Reeve and Routh prior to their casting as Supermen.

It sucks Scott isnt in this but he was the only rumored choice I could stand in the role. I'd hate to see what they finally came up with.

Well yeah. My personal preference is an American actor. If theres an amazing Australian actor that can conceal his accent for the role, I wouldnt mind...

But if its between unknowns, I prefer an American actor for this.

LOL, love what he wrote on your comic. What with the seemingly young teen show cast we are getting I wouldn't be too upset with this guy.

Iris confirmed the Superman actor is of latino decent. Its not Mr Scott Porter.
