I hope not. But perhaps the only way for it to all end is to accept it and die. Kind of like Ripley in Alien 3.

I'm kind of hoping for the alternative of her disapearing, but wouldn't she be found? So wouldn't it be better for her to die to end it all?

Disappearing and living off of the grid would be better, IMO.

But isn't that what she did in the beginning of Scream 3? Wouldn't the same thing happen again?

no offense to anyone here, as I'm not trying to be a *****e but they pretty much spoiled who will die in the teaser trailer just released. It's
Gale
. I know this because when you watch the trailer you see
ghostface attack her from behind & then when she's on the floor she says something to the effect of, "Go ahead if you have the guts", & then she gets stabbed to death quite clearly.
Also please don't try & tell me that wasn't
gale because there's only one botoxed old woman with brunette hair in this fourth movie & that's Gale.
.

Umm, the teaser trailer did show that, true, but it is up for speculation her outcome of the event. Hell, in Scream [blackout]Dewey was stabbed and still survived[/blackout], but again, we won't know for sure how that scene turns out until the movie is released.

Also I'm calling it right now. Sidney is the killer. She has snapped from years of mental abuse at the hands of the ghostface killer & it's finally taken it's toll. It would on any person. I don't think turning the hero into a killer has ever been done before & to me it's a very realistic way to go because anyone would have psychological problems after having your whole life taken from you. Also it makes sense from a franchise POV. Sidney is revealed to be the killer, she dies at the end & a new hero emerges & takes us into a new trilogy.

I can see her doing it again after the killings start up all over again.

I can't really see her becoming a killer but I guess you never know what really goes on inside someone's head when they've put up with something that traumatic for so long. I guess we'll see come April.

He's not using common sense in any of the posts. Earlier in the same trailer Dewey jumps out of hay with a gun in the same barn that Gale is in.

In the same trailer Sidney is seen reacting alone horrifically to being called by the killer. She's also seen fighting off the killer scared for her live. She's also been away from Woodsboro for years so unless Gale or Dewey is the killer. There's no way she could have a partner to do all this with.

So, yes, fail.

JustABill is correct. FAIL.

The whole point of the teaser was to make you think she gets killed. And, by hitting 2 birds with 1 stone, make it appear that the killer this time is far more aggresive and has - as Gale taunts - the guts to kill her.

keep in mind; Gale Weathers, along with Sidney and Dewey, have a long history with this sort of thing. People in Woodsboro - if not America - know who they are and what they've been through. Killing Sidney or Gale or Dewey is like killing a novelty celeb. That's why the chase is so much more menacing this time around, I feel. The killer even says on the phone, "You're a survivor, aren't ya Sidney?". He knows her death would be a huge deal because of her/their past and story.

My bets? None of the original 3 will die. In fact, I recon we'll see them fight harder than ever to stay alive, since they should be pros at it by now.

Its strange because i have had this movie on my mind over this past week a lot and this same thought always comes up, so what if Sidney kills one of the original 3? I mean we know from the teaser that Gale herself puts on a mask during the movie, and we also now that Sidney since the first film has been really paranoid, what if the killer tricks her into killing one of her friends (maybe even one the the originals) at a Stab party or whatever party was that people where the ghostface makes. I know it sounds a lot like Halloween H20 but then again how could the killer really get to Sidney? Perhaps by tricking her into killing someone she thought was the killer (mask on, etc).

Sorry if this thought sounds loony but the thought really hit me hard and it'd be interesting to see how they would do that, you gotta think Sidney would really just lose it

It's too complicated. Also Sidney would remove the mask and probably want to have some sort of dialogue with Gale , Dewey , etc. I imagine Sidney in this will be trying to help track the killer.

I think that the only way to reveal the killer and not make it a total shocker is to do something like in the original Saw. Have the killer be someone that we not only would never suspect, but someone who feels like a nonfactor in the movie and yet, when he/she is revealed, it makes perfect sense. Don't know how they could do that though.

The first Scream was somewhat revolutionary because you were always looking for ONE killer... it didn't cross my mind that there could be two of them until the last scene where they were chasing Sidney through the house and seemed to be everywhere at once and I was like, "Wait a minute, here..."

The second and third films weren't quite as innovative in that regard but they still managed to have a surprise here and there. Although that guy from Felicity really made a lame villain in part 3.

They kinda already did the ''non-factor" shocker in making "Debbie Salt" one of the killers in Scream 2.

It's pretty cool and funny that Syd has had to murder 5 people overall and gets away with it because she is the victim;

Stu
Billy
Mrs. Loomis
Mickey
