They were, but you have to realize what they were. SG1 and Atlantis were very much in the vein of those syndicated scifi shows filmed in Canada. Very entertaining, very low budget (especially after they get away from showtime).

I am very, very intrigued by this. But dear god, keep the Volume away from this. Cheap sets and canadian wilderness for life.

SG-1 was great. Atlantis was good. Universe was okay. If it had a chance to go past two seasons it might have been better.
