The Dark Knight Script Review coming soon!!!

Do you guys seriously believe that TDK would've been greenlit and Heath Ledger would've accepted the Joker role if there wasn't at least a draft of the script? A script exists and it's possible that LR doesn't have it now, but will have it in the near future due to an agreement with WB. There's no better publicity for a movie than a positive review of a it's script... and WB will want to profit from that.

He explicitly said in the Wolf Man script review that they had the TDK script...

Then what's going on with the review then? It's a crazy letdown...:(:batty:

Guys they don't have the script. The script isn't even written yet.

Considering that LR was the only place to have a review of BB (the only I saw anyway) they most likely leaked the BB script. WB probably isn't going to take the chance of giving the script out for reviews again.

Plus, TDK doesn't need reviews anyway. Just the notion that Batman is coming back and he is fighting the Joker is enough to put butts in the seats. BB needed the reviews.

The Batman Begins script leak was no doubt intentional - done by Goyer or someone, not Latino Review. If Latino Review did anything without WB's attention (esepcially something that big) they would be getting nothing from WB - yet they reported the Heath Ledger news first. Plus they would never leak a script, it would be career suicide - no studio would give them a copy of the skript.

As far as a script not being written - do you really believe that? Johnathan Nolan was signed on to write the thing last May. They will start filming in January. Casting has started. There is no way that atleast a first draft has not been written by now.

i still don't believe that a script isn't 'written' as of yet, esp with a movie like this. There's a rough draft out there and a treatment...but no one can get access to them (as of yet)

I doubt this script will be done earler than November. And if it is so, we will get review only in March-April or even later.

There obviously are at least early drafts at this point. But the shooting script is still months away.

my take on this is that WB is pry pulling their strings . . . calling the shots; remember they posted a review of the Wolverine script? the studio doing that film made them pull it faster than a clay pigeon

I think that they are getting info from WB because they edited their Nolan interview

It makes you wonder...:batty:

They can't go into a 150-180 million dollar film without a script finished 2 months before production commences! There is no question that at least A draft of the script is finished. The different departments of the production have to have something to work from!

I emailed Latino Review, and here was their reply.

Script review will be coming in a couple of weeks, dont want to say when cause
then I'm held to that date.

Nah, I don't think the budget of sequel will be something more than $160m.

What about script, I don't think Nolan is one of directors who starts making their movies with not finished script. So most likely TDK script will be done before November ends.

Doubtful. It can happen, but I doubt they have exact script. <ost likely it is only one of the lattest script drafts.

I remember they said script review will come in August, and now they say September.

Soon they will say October and then November, and then... I think you know what I am trying to say :)

isnt that what they said last time?

Well I saw someone earlier in the thread emailed them and they said that they had to work around the legal issues, then I emailed EL and he said it hadn't been written yet which I do find very hard to believe, now we have this latest email reply and from what I can gather I would expect the review to be posted around the release date of the Prestige. I thought this awhile ago but after they sent me an email saying they had nothing I was perplexed. I just think now that all of latino review aren't all on the same page as far as what to respond when fans ask question about the script. Atleast that is the vibe I am getting

so they have it, but they cant say they have it.

now it makes sense.
