Anyone else notice the similarity between Bran perking up at Littlefinger using the word "Chaos" and Cooper's response to certain catchphrases (agent, case files, damn good) he used in previous seasons of Twin Peaks?

How big is Drogon? Like the size of Spanish galleon or something?

He's huge but I kinda wanna get an accurate measurement.

Omg. Just finished watching the episode. That battle in the last bit was omg. My fave episode so far. Goddamn Dragons are beasts!! Don't you just love em? I was on the edge of my seat when Jamie went after Dany.. and oh boi. Dat ending had me wanting to see the next scene.

Just a noticeable difference in size now. :p

I know right? He was such a cute little flying lizard monster but now he's a grown adult flying lizard monster. Not little anymore eh? Hes still cute though especially raining fire down the enemy's necks. Dragons are badass. Between them and Wolves...yeah this is my kind of show.

Btw....i enjoyed the cave scene with Jon and Dany. There were a few instances i thought they were going to throw themselves at each other. Lol

It seems like Cooper just has no memory of who he is until his doppleganger is back in the Black Lodge. But Bran's "chaos is a ladder" moment was him letting Littlefinger know that he knows everything.

According to Martin, this is what a full grown dragon is supposed to look like.

I doubt the dragons in the show will get that big. The iron throne in the show is smaller than in the books.

Well, is there any difference in the size? Look at Dany and Aegon in your picture. They are practically The same in comparison to the dragon.

But the illustrated dragon is more thick.:o

Jaime is a guy who needs honor and has wanted to redeem himself ever since he slayed the king he had a duty to protect. Martin has done a good job showing how he constantly feels guilt for this act. Constantly seeks redemption. The relationship and respect he had with Brianne makes sense in that regard. Brianne being a big proponent of honor and keeping an oath. I haven't read the books but I do wonder if his incestual relationship started because he had hit an all new low after breaking his oath.

Drogon is not as big as Balerion... and dragons never truly stop growing... well, in the books.

Yeah Dany's dragons are big, but Aegon the Conqueror's were far bigger still.

Is he though? We've seen no reaction yet from the bannermen on what they think of Bran's return (note: not sure Littlefinger counts since he tries to butter up with anyone that he perceives as someone that could have power)

Traditionally it would have been difficult for someone in Bran's situation to be accepted as a Lord but given the way things had gone for House Stark in recent memory, there's no reason why he wouldn't have been considered had he wanted it.

I mean Bran already essentially had the role back in season 1 or 2. The reality however now is that even if he did want it, with Westeros now in open war, their bannermen would still probably choose Sansa or Jon. Even Arya.

All and anyways, Bran is basically gone. It's a mute debate unfortunately.

He's the size of a 747:

“The dragons this year are the size of 747s,” director Matt Shakman tells EW. “Drogon is the biggest of the bunch — his flame is 30-feet in diameter!”

Shakman is one of four directors helming next season (the others are GoT vets Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, and Mark Mylod). He was probably being at least somewhat approximate when comparing the dragons to the venerable Boeing airliner. But for reference, a 747 is about 230 feet long with a 210 feet wingspan.

He's not as big as Balerion, yet. Balerion was so large that he could swallow woolly mammoths and Aurochs whole. And a knight on a horse could ride down his throat. Here is some pretty good scale drawings.

Also three dragons were enough to bring Westeros to it's knees, and they could range over hundreds of miles no problem. Dany's dragons, aren't on that level yet.

Writing is still so all over the place...."Which lady Stark?", Brienne reacting to Needle, even though she did see that sword before...mess.

But the final battle was mostly well done (must everything be long take these days?) and Jaime's facial expressions were as usual hysterical

The last 10 mins of this episode were lit! (pun intended).

Also, I really hope Qyburn hasn't put any poison or some special chemicals on those arrows. It seems he would be a person that would do something like that.

how much support would the northmen give to a woman in charge?

I don't think they seem terribly adverse to it, look at Lyanna Mormont, a girl (and one who's all of, what, 10/11 at that), and yet she appears to be given respect by the other Lords of the North (I love her, she's such a little badass and her speech at the end of last season shaming the other Lord's that didn't answer the call and proclaiming Jon her King is still one of my favorite speeches in the show)

It's been a while so I don't remember that scene. Did she see Arya use the sword? Otherwise I don't see why the fact Brienne has seen the sword before means anything.
