With Frost facing an unjust punishment for her past crimes, Caitlin goes to great lengths to save her sister. Meanwhile, Barry's efforts to protect Speed Force Nora lead to a shocking discovery.

This episode was directed by Sudz Sutherland and airs May 4th

So far we've had Barry in court, now Catlin next season put Cisco on trial for goodness sake. Ugh...

It was cool to get that development with Caitlin and Frost but the Flash/Fuerza stuff was the highlight for me

Welp we saw that coming.

I’m sorry but this is a pretty lameass conclusion to Frost story. If this the best they can come up with I’m disappointed and honestly it proof this series glory days are far behind them. The Flash didn’t even do anything super heroic. Heck he didn’t even at least give a statement at the trial on Frost behalf to prove her innocence.

the whole Speed Force betrayal was clear as daylight obvious. I certainly think there’s more to the various forces and either the Speed force is corrupted or it’s survival is in jeopardy and it’s trying to preserve itself.

Is this their way of lining up with the comics where Killer Frost is the villain we know her to be?

Also who didn't see Speed Force Nora's betrayal coming?

Actually Frost (at least the Catlina Snow ❄) isn't a villain anymore in the comics she's a reformed member of the Justice League.

Well, I'm hoping Frost isn't in jail for too long. I liked her being out and about, and it would be a real shame to just leave the character in limbo now. That was a nice twist though, choosing life in prison over the 'cure.'
Also nice with Fuerza, and not seeing her in crappy CG. And I was hoping Speed Force Nora wasn't going to turn bad, but for naught. Or maybe not bad, just desperate and operating on a whole different level of morals than humans do.

I'm sorry, I know just enough about the law and trials to be screaming at this episode.

Some of them are saying that that whole thing is just a hoax or whatever.

I think it’s like “The Enemy Within” (Star Trek TOS), where Good Kirk and Evil Kirk were both aspects of Real Kirk. Nora is only one quarter of what we used to call the Speed Force.

I hope they find a way to get Frost released because life imprisonment seems excessive. I was hoping the Agent would demand the cure even after Frost submitted to imprisonment and the judge had already made her ruling. This doesn't seem like a very good solution that Caitlin came up with at all.

I guess the speed force will be the big bad of the season because there's no-one else at the moment.

It was an ok episode but the show took this whole thing the lazy way out. The court battle could've been better, they should've ended it with Frost being recruited to Task Force X.

I cant even remember KILLER Frost killing anyone to justify life in prison.

The speed force will be the big bad of the first half of the season. Second part will be someone else.

Cisco created the cold gun in case Barry went bad. Frost will earn a pardon by stopping Nora's rampage.

How will she do that if she's in prison? And surely the Speed Force can move faster than Frost.

Work-release. It might even be part of the plea-bargain plan, although Team Flash probably expected the eventual threat to be Godspeed or Thawne rather than the personification of the Speed Force.

And surely the Speed Force can move faster than Frost.

Cisco held a gun trained on Barry earlier this season, which Cisco should have known was pointless. Speed Force Nora is presumably faster than Barry, but as long as the show is being inconsistent about people's reaction times, I think we just have to accept that guns can defeat speedsters. And there's always Velocity-X, to give Speed Frost another scene.

I think the big problem with this idea is that the title character needs to be the decisive factor in the victory. Maybe Barry can be busy dealing with an even bigger problem while Frost fights Nora.

Maybe either Reverse Flash will end up killing "Nora" again at Barry's request, or Barry will do it himself. That seems like something they would do.

Doesn't Velocity-X have some serious negative side effects on non-speedsters if they take it and result in them burning up? How was Frost able to take it before? And wouldn't taking it again jeopardise her life?

Well that would be one way to resolve how Cisco leaves the show for good. He spends the rest of his life in jail.

I'm guessing that won't be though, and that he'll leave with his girlfriend whose name I forget. But she'll have to also be written out of the show if Cisco leaves.

I thought at least Caitlin would give some statement on behalf of Frost, but even that we didn't get.

Now do all the authorities acknowledge that Caitlin and Frost are two separate people after seeing Caitlin in court at Frost's hearing and even speaking up and saying she destroyed the metahuman cure? Or are they somehow ignoring that?

I thought it was intentional and that Caitlin was going to sneak into a room behind while Allegra distracted the other woman.

How much left of this first half of the season? It doesn't seem to be really going anywhere.
