I'm off to buy it now.
Who else has got it?, lets talk.

It's an underrated book. Damn shame too. It's not getting the hype of ASM and at the current moment it's the better book. This issue was great. One thing I'm loving is how there using Felicia in this title.

Also come on now.....

Aunt May is badass in this issue. She easily defeated one of Spidey's top villains without breaking a sweat. Go figure.

Your right about it being better than ASM, kicks its ass!

They had no copys in today, so I have to wait til tmr.:cmad:

good issue
liked it muchly.. but again.. chameleon got his ass handed to him by someone other than peter... so that sorta blows my mind. i was hoping for a more potentially dangerous chalemleon as opposed to a villan with big dreams and little muscle :down...

ugh.. someone drop him into radioactive concrete so he'sat least resistant...to rock or something

ugh again.. ugh ugh ugh..

good issue though

I liked it a LOT..... :word:

He's becoming one of my favorite writers...

:yay:

I really liked the issue and was surprised at how tenaciously Molten Man kept after Peter. I guess thats a good thing story wise. Its too predictable to have the conflicted bad guy turn good at the last second.

I was happy to see Chameleon again. He's one of my favorite underrated villains. I would like to see him written as a badass spy/sabatuer, but I dont see that happening.
After getting beaten by MJ (way back in SSM vol 1, which I was glad to see mentioned in this arc, continuity rocks) and now by Aunt May, he's not climbing the ranks. :o

he had the makings of somehthing great in this arc.. and.. literally fell flat on his face

I picked it up, and enjoyed it. I dislike the Artist's work, but I like the writing..both MJ and May were shown to have smarts..as they should have. What I did NOT like was the foreshadowing at the end..of future bad events. Apparently Wizard 182 had more info on it, but I wasn't going to waste any more money so Joe Q can screw with my head.
I appreciate them using Felicia..but I can't help thinking that she is going to pick up the pieces after MJ leaves..and *some fans* will get what they have been whining for years about. ( For the record..I don't mind Felicia at all, I liked the ASM's where she first showed up, but I dislike the way she is drawn and acts sometimes. )

Did anyone else find what Peter said to Liz as he was leaving a little out of character especially given the circumstances?

Not really.... Peter was thinking that his Aunt May could be hurt and/or dead at that point.

ALoha,
Exactly. The two people on Earth closest to Peter are MJ and Aunt MAy. He was ready to eat and kill Bear. Enjoying MK/Sensational.

Not really.

I thought it fit in perfectly, especially with everything thats been going on with him lately.

Great issue. Attention to past events; Peter, villains and Aunt May all acting well within established character; and a good story to boot, what more can you ask for? :D

How long's Roberto on this title for?

I was always a fan of Aunt May (the JMS aunt may) and I thought she could never top herself. I was wrong because these are the best two pages I have EVER seen her in...

He won ME over with his work on MK4, which was brilliant, imo...

He wrote one of the best Ben Grimm stories i've read in years.

And he was the guy who wrote about my favorite x-man--NIGHTCRAWLER!

OMG Comicboy. Your sig is from Lamb Chops Play Along! That's amazing!

:woot: I couldn't help it. that was my s*** back in the day.:o :yay:

This issue was as, well, quality as any other. While I might've hoped for the arc to be a little longer, I think Aguirre-Sacasa "closed the door" on the whole thing effectively. I love that he's actually making use of ALL of Spidey's rogue gallery, and doing it in a pretty convincing way.

I especially liked Aunt May's little "Gotcha" at the end. After having so many stories focus on Aunt May being in danger, it's always nice to find out that, she may be old, but she's definitely not helpless.

This has really become "the" Spider-Man book for me.
