That could make a pretty sweet poster. Or a great wallpaper. Either way it's awesome.

That is one frickin' sweet panel :wow:

Thanks a mil for scanning it, dude

That pic just became my desktop...

:yay:

Kingpin and Doc Ock look like they have the exact same upper body pose in that panel. It's an awesome image, though - I love the classic approach taken to the villains' outfits. Hobgoblin looks like he's at a heavy metal concert.

Nice picture, nice to see that Doc Ock stands in the same position of Kingpin, and that Molten Man seems the golden twin of the Sandman :P

... that IS odd, though...

you're right. i wonder what band he's listening to.

cool picture, although i think venom looks way too small...one of the smallest venoms iv ever seen actually, i like him about the same size as rhino

Huh... the devil horns that Hobgoblin is sporting are interesting-- is that a tip of the hat to his crazy demon days (didn't he get powers from Mephisto during Inferno?), or is he just rocking-out? Well... it is a dream sequence, so I guess it could mean anything.

I haven't been a big fan of Sacasa's run thus far....Feral was good but ended on a dud note.....Foes of Parker was at best mediocre....but after listening to the high praise I tried 32 out...actually bought it :).....for those who think Mary Jane can't be written well.....pffttt!!!.....she just "hasn't" been written well....Sacasa proves it can be done....best spidey tale in god knows how long....and he's barely in it!!

Yes... good writing and a good story should be rewarded. I urge the cronically disgruntled and those "on strike" to actually BUY SSM#32. :yay:

I really loved this issue. I expected to like Aguirre-Sacasa's work because I enjoyed him in the Nightcrawler ongoing-mini :p

Still, he really seems to have a grasp on each character and I'm glad he's been using continuity in just about every issue he's done so far.

glad to see scorpion and venom as seperate characters..
weird tings about the image..not mean to be analyzed.. clearly.. as the poses in many of them are the same and their proportions are wrong

Read this now, a fine issue.

I like the way it works as a one shot style issue but is also part of the bigger frame of things, Spidey didn’t look to healthy at the end.

The new artist is very solid though I have to say I prefer Angel Medina.
Sarcassa really seems to know how to write the supporting cast effectively and inside their heads.
MJ was never boring to read and it was really cool to see how the fallout of civil war effects her subconscious.

The flashbacks in particular to ASM#257 & 122 did it for me.
Sometimes writers try flashbacks but they change the words slightly, that’s pisses me off but here Sarcassa got those scenes exactly right, word for word.

I also liked Man-spider’s cousin coming out of the wrong door.

Great issue. I agree that MJ has been written well for a long time and here we get to see how well and the potential of how great her character can be. The art was awesome and most of all the writing is good, a rarity these days. Sensational is without a doubt the my favourite spidey title at the moment and I cant wait to see what we get next.

I re-read it. It was a good read and a refreshing piece of writing. While he is telling good storylines (something Spider-Man hasn't seen in 3 years when JMS quit writing good stories and Jenkins and Millar were gone)....his characterizations seem off.

Despite my distaste for JMS' contributions as of late (Sins Past was awful, The Other started well but ended dreadfully and Civil War hwile obviously Joey Q's **** up, as was Sins Past, JMS was his tool in bringing the sludge to the fans).....

I really do think he has written Aunt May better than anyone. I feel Aunt May is a little too gimmecky and faux-weak again in these stories. And since MJ and Pete got back togehter (come to think of it, from another good JMS story), they had seemed to resolve and put the plot device of her "not being able to take Peter being Spidey" behind her. I feel it is really out of character for her to go to a bus station and considering going to Boston.

But I did like the use of flashbacks and her having lunch with Sue Storm was a REALLY nice touch. And I think her anxiety works....albeit not at such a heightened level (and she did AGREE to the unmasking, thanks once again to the awful writing of JMS as of late).

I also am kind of critical of how he really COMPLETELY mishandeled Liz Allen in the last few issues....and Molten Man and Normie for that matter. But he uses Peter and Black Cat well and while his MJ is not phenomenal, it is decent (I've seen two of the current writers in their better days write MJ much more interestingly however).

Still....A GOOD SPIDER-MAN STORY is rare to see these days. So whatever.

So, How do you feel about the issue?:oldrazz:

I disagree. I thought it was a normal reaction. She has been written realistically in the sence that, despite the decision she made she has no prophetic insight as to what her future holds. She can agree to go along with being spidey's wife, she can agree to go along with the unmasking but she has no idea as to how things will turn out, how dangerous being married to spider-ma could potentially be. Her feeling of anxiety are normal and should be expected. Things in her life because of who she is and who she's married to will always bring about the unexpected and its how she handles these troubles that really bring out her character.
I wouldn't want to read this story with MJ being monotonous with her feelings in that, she loves Peter and accepts every disastorous event that occurs without questioning her choices, decisions and feelings. MJ is being pushed to the limit and like she stated she has no superpowers of her own as a slight reprieve. These limits should be shown and whats more interesting is how she handles being pushed and reminding herself the reasons why she's in the situation she's in. This story clearly shows MJ as a fighter struggling to keep herself together and I thought it was nicely executed in this issue.

Oh I agree. But I just felt it was a retread to the awful Howard Mackie shyte with "I need to sort my own feelings out." Anxious I agree, which is why I like the dream sequences and having to talk with Sue Storm. It just seemed to a little....far in that scene ethough.
