Comics Sensational Spider-Man #32...

With all that's been happening, I can see MJ questioning her life as well as her future, and I believe that this issue occurs after ASM #536 because Peter has clearly gone to the other side in SSM #32.

I agree with you that "Feral" wasn't that great, but at least we got to see Stegron, along with some other long-forgotten supporting cast members.

:yay:

Is 32 the first of a multi part arc?...cause I was under the impression that 32 was a stand alone?

32, 33 & 34 are all stand-alone issues featuring the women in Peter Parker's life... MJ, Aunt May & the Black Cat.

However, the way the tale may be presented, each issue may continue one into the other while featuring the perspectives of these women where being involved with Peter Parker/Spider-Man is concerned.

I like it personally... old school comic writing... stories within a bigger story.

:yay:

I have a question (sorry if someone has already addressed this)...

Peter was blown-up, drugged and beaten to a pulp in the sewer and brought to the resistance by the Punisher (Yeah... lousy "bullet-proof" suit and wonky spider-sense... NO COMMENT about the plausibility of all THAT). But, we see him again, looking no worse for wear (not even a bruise) "sometime later" in ASM #536, where he is checking into a roach-motel with May and MJ.

Soooo... are we to believe that at some point in the near future (at the end of SSM, Mary Jane refers to opening the door to her "safe house," so I guess this happens after AMS #536) Peter is AGAIN going to be beaten nearly to death and stumble home to bleed all over Aunt May? I mean... Jeeze...

So what happened THIS time? Do we know?

Is it too much to ask? Can he AT LEAST one of these times go down SWINGING... you know... actually look like the superhero HE IS before being mangled?

I think it was The Rhino this time, Cap. He was seen fighting Peter once or twice in this issue...

The RHINO!? You think? I saw that page... but it never occured to me... oh, pleeese, say it isn't so...

I bought Sensational Spiderman 29-31 because I wanted the whole unmasking arc but I felt that 32 wouldn't be a good issue. After what you guys said about it, I am going to go back and get it. It sounds really good! Thats all I want right now, a good story that is in the current timeline, unlike ASM 536...

Hey, what do you got against the Rhino? Okay, sure, he's not exactly one of Spidey's brightest villains and basically Spidey can beat him by vaulting over him again and again until he runs into a wall and gets his horns stuck, but geez, any guy who can go toe to toe with the Hulk deserves some brownie points. ;)

Now Spidey getting his butt handed to him by nobody like the Jester--THE JESTER OF ALL PEOPLE, A FRICKIN' RIP-OFF OF THE JOKER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD--especially by a toy boat with explosives, something that should've EASILY set off Spidey's spider-sense, regardless whether he's experiencing constant buzzing because he's unmasked--now THAT'S something to complain about! :cmad::woot:

BTW, if anybody thinks that MJ isn't an important enough character or that Peter is better off without her after this issue, they are certifiably insane. (guess it's time fo the men in the white coats to pick up Joe Q and take him away, ha ha, just come and take him away, ha ha, to the happy home, where life is beautiful all the time...)

I used to stick up for Quesada, now I am kinda really pissed.

I thought the same thing - I haven't read the issue yet, but when everyone was complaining my thoughts were, "Well, is she supposed to be happy-go-lucky wife all the time?"

I enjoyed Feral. I even liked Stegron. That was pretty cool. But the ending was kind of anticlimactic. Peter uses the supersuit to just sort of...disintegrate the rock or whatever? Poooo.

Stegron was a favorite villain of mine back in the 70's... :word:  :word:

Dinosaurs are pretty cool, no doubt about it.

Dinosaur-men are even cooler.

Those flashback scenes from ASM #257 & 122 were practically identical to the original books.

Without a doubt. I was absolutely exstatic when he used that flashback from ASM # 122 where MJ is there to comfort Peter and he snaps at her, yet she stays anyway. When I read that in the Essentials a while back I always figured that was the point in time that MJ realized she was really for Peter.

However, I wish Peter didn't go for her. :o

But it was definitely an awesome issue...and I'm guessing that it was The Rhino that put the beatdown on him like that. And I hope it wasn't just Rhino because it's enough that Spidey fans are clamoring and going on about Jack O Lantern and Jester. :whatever:
