I just finished reading this book and it's ABSOLUTELY refreshing to see a new writer who will use continuity as a strength and not as a hinderence like so many so-called "writers" do nowadays...

Sensational is definitely the BEST Spidey book on the market today.

:yay:

Was this the MJ-centered one? Can you summarize, or review it?

Absolutely. Glad to see a writer use continuity and not disregard it. Sensational rocks.

I can:
Starts off with MJ having a bad dream where she is in the middle of a colloseum with supervillians around and Tony Stark as the Emperor looking on, with Gwen as his queen. MJ opens a door to find this horrible Spider monster there. She then wakes up and goes out. ( quite shaken ) she goes to a bus station and checks some times, and gets upset as someone disses her appearance. She then remembers Sue's coversation with her in ASM 531 ( I think ), and meets up with the Invisible Woman. She basically tells MJ to shape up, and MJ remarks the other women ( Sue, Jessica Jones ) all have super-powers to help them. MJ then thinks back ( flashback to ASM 122 and such ) and decides to go back to Peter no matter what. She shows up to find May upset because Peter is badly hurt in her arms.
Putting my affection for MJ aside, this was truly an amazing issue, and perfectly captures MJ's spirit and who she is, and who she's grown into.
Absolutely amazing.

...:cmad: I hate you guys. WHAT HAPPENED? pleaseeee.:woot:

I have got to get this Issue!!!! Ahhhh!!!!!

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is becoming a shining gem at Marvel with his respect to continuity and how he uses it as a strength to his ability to tell his stories.

Those flashback scenes from ASM #257 & 122 were practically identical to the original books.

This issue was pretty sweet. Ending came out of nowhere
I expected it to be some villian attacking MJ and May again but to see Pete laying there was a surprise

257 is my all time favorite Amz issue. YOU GO, MJ!!

I thought
Gwen sitting all serene as the Queen, kind of had a symbolic meaning..like how MJ sees her. ( reigning in Peter's heart)
The flashback scenes were done so perfectly well too.

Am i gonna cry reading this issue? be honest...

MJ should tell peter that she thinks he feels that way about Gwen, and then pete takes her up to the bridge and he spits on it and makes love to MJ on it or something

That'll depend on wether or not you're a CRYBABY? Or a COMICBOY? :woot: :woot: :woot:

Seriously, who knows? Possibly. It's a very touching issue that really hits the core of the characters involved.

probably not, but it's one of the best 616 issues Ive seen in a while. I can't wait for Aunt May's issue next month. That cover is beautiful.
Also, what would have been cool, would have been if they brought up Baby May. but sadly it didn't happen. That should be a major point in MJ and Peter's life.

I wouldn't go so far, she needs to be respected, but it's time Peter puts that to rest. I liked how in the wedding issue, it was like they did. But the writer's obsession with Peter's first love continues. This is why I hope they never kill USM MJ. So we don't have to deal with years of Peter moping for his lost love.

Aloha,
i was doing some research on him for my web site. The man is a well respected playwright. He comes to Marvel with some strong writing credentials. Have to get my copy soon.
Spidey rules

I was already a fan of his NIGHTCRAWLER and his Spidey, but now i know he's gay... i think i'm in love:heart::woot:

I hope Sacasa doesn't leave the Spider titles any time soon.

whole-heartedly agree. This issue showed how much MJ really has grown from her first appearances. I really wish A-S would take on ASM, he'd rule.
