Nintendo tends to have the cheapest console over here in the UK. The more expensive PS2 still outsells. You can't attribute these sales figures only to pricing.

If the 360 were to win the next-gen war, it wouldn't just be a case of "well of course, it's cheaper".

PS2 is a great console. The public love it, even in the face of more powerful hardware.

It is a great system, but the only reason it's selling well is the brand name, and price. Not quality.

Not everyone isn't going to like the quirky Wii controller. Plus, the older consoles always continue to sell for a while, even after the new console is released.
