'Spider-Man 2' - I liked the first when it first came out, but now, I just don't feel the same about it when I watch it. Maybe it's because of the action sequences, maybe it's because Mary Jane is a snotty-nosed punk, maybe it's because the Green Goblin's corny-little backflips from the final-battle, I don't know. I just don't really enjoy the film apart from a few scenes, same with the third.

i love both, but i agree, bogus journey is just plain awesome, and miles ahead of the first.

I'll also vote for Spider-Man 2. I can't think of another example at the moment.

For me it's Meet the Fockers. The first movie was at times too uncomfortable to watch for me. I kept thinking Ben Stiller should just get out of the parents' house. No woman was worth all that crap. The second one was less focused on completely demoralizing Stiller's character. I know there were some instances of it, but not as much.
