I don't believe in Shane Black. He's a human being. He's not some immortal superhero.

Now this is just a big stinkin' damn dirty lie.

Shame on you, sir. Shame.

EDIT: Also, **** that "Yautja" ****, Pennywise. Don't bring that bullshizzle into this. Comics and quasi-canon go blow yourselves. :P

Yeah, that Collider interview was really good.

Two quotes about the Predators that grabbed my attention.

Pretty interesting how the Den of Geek set visit mentions the Predators will more agile. Should be interesting as I'm so used to the movements Kevin Peter Hall provided in the first two films.

I think it's a good thing thing to have some variety and not have every Pred look/behave identically. Not just for story/character/action scene reasons, but just look at humans, Vern Troyer & Francis Nganou are the same species.

EDIT: I actually forgot Nganou's nickname is "The Predator", ha!

I think that's kind of missing the point. Maybe deliberately so. I don't like deifying people , so I won't say something like "Black can't possibly f*** this up, it's SHANE F***ING BLACK!!". People are fallible and making movies is ridiculously hard, there's a million things that could go wrong to scupper any production.
And I have had some trepidation about this film with the news of poor test screenings and bigger than usual reshoots, BUT Black has a writing & directing track record that, at least in my opinion, has earned him the benefit of the doubt. I'm not going to throw this film under the bus just because of a shoddy teaser trailer.

So in that sense, which I think is the general vibe of people who say this, yes, "I believe" in Shane Black. If anyone can pull this out of the bag, he's one of the few.

Yeah, I think it will be pretty cool, and it makes sense, considering that they are trying to enhance themselves with the DNA of other species. Could make them stronger, faster, more agile. Plus, as you mentioned some Predators may be different.

It's cool that Shane Black referenced Logan in terms of making an R-rated film with visceral action that's also very much a character piece. I think if he follows the Logan blueprint, he'll be fine. Fox might have a tougher time coming up with an angle to pitch it though. It's not as easy to see as Logan, Alien Covenant, War for the Planet of the Apes or Deadpool in terms of their more mature genre fare.

This movie won't do that well probably. But damn if I'm not ****ing pumped for it.

This movie wont do well because of terrible marketing which is already started with those leaked pictures and now terrible official trailer. I refuse to believe this movie is going be total crap like what we saw for now, but you can't say this movie will be any good with any true belief.

And that's from us who waiting for this movie. We aint talking about casual audience moviegoers. For them this movie already failed. It didnt left any good first impression and was already forgotten next day. I dont think this trailer even trend one day anywhere on social media.

And then people will wonder if this ends up being good film how it bombed and didnt break even.

Studios market what they wanna market.

Yeah, that trailer sapped a lot of my enthusiasm, and I'm a big Shane Black fan. So for the casual moviegoer... It all depends on how good the following trailers are and the RT score.

One of the worst trailers I've ever seen but I'm still optimistic.

I just saw a tv spot during the Finals. It looked a lot better imo.

The trailer is god-awful in my view. I thought the last film, Predators, did a decent job of offering something new but if, as all the films profess to do, 'be a direct follow up to the first', is always going to be difficult if there is no direct Arnie reference or appearance.

I doubt I would want to see this in the cinema.

So now we have a super mega Predator genetic hybrid? It has me concerned.

Is this gonna turn into a team-up Movie? Humans and Predator VS Super Predator?

Didn’t they already do the super Predator in the last movie.

My concern to expound on it is that this new iteration is actually a man-altered super duper predator that is on "our side" and meant to counter the threat. Which I really hope is not the case because my eyes can't roll that far back from the number of times genetic engineering has become a plot device that gets poorly executed at best and horrifically abused at worst. Shane Black has credibility but he is not immune to stupid ideas syndrome either.

Honestly this is like right in line with the 80s style of the flick.

Hopefully this isn't just going to turn into Godzilla vs King Kong. I'd actually like to see the Predator use its hunting tactics against the Super Predator. The Predator vs Berserker Predator wrestling match in Predators, was actually kind of boring.
