Sharknado - the film about a tornado made of sharks!

Found a copy. I am so getting super lit n watching this tomorrow

Wow, I'm watching my recording right now, and man, this movie is awesome.

There are so many completely stupid things in this movie but it was entertaining. Every bit as ridiculous as I expected, and more.

Wow that ending....well, at least I don't feel like I wasted my time.

Ian Zerring is not the hero we deserve but the hero we need

Sharknado is probably the most genius thing SyFy has ever done. They pretty much marketed it as a crappy movie which got a lot of people to watch it. They also made it fun to watch with all of the live tweeting going on. If you get the chance, go on twitter and see what Damon Lindelof and Patton Oswalt wrote. You will laugh your ass off.

That'll be the disaster movie to end all disaster movies.

It's from "The Asylum" they make a lot of those rip-off movies of big blockbusters (like "Abraham Lincoln: Zombie Hunter" which was hilarious btw). SyFy has been picking up most of the off-the-wall releases they have, if you go to their website they are accepting pitches for martial arts films. Just FYI to any potential screen writers out there.

"Sharknado" Hits Cinemas Next Friday

By Garth Franklin Friday July 26th 2013 10:15AM
Regal Cinemas will host midnight screenings of Syfy's telemovie and social media sensation "Sharknado" on Friday August 2nd.
The screenings will take place at roughly 200 theaters across the country, including New York City's Regal Union Square Stadium 14 and L.A.'s Regal L.A. Live Stadium 14.
The cinema chain will screen the film in the hopes of replicating the fun of midnight theatrical showings of movies such as "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and in more recent years "The Room".

Hmm, I wonder if I can rally up some folks for this. Thanks for the linkage.

Hell yes.. Me and about 7 of my friends are gonna get right and tore up for this lol I need to find a 21 and over theater.

I love the hot chick with the shotgun. Badass shark killing machine.

Sy-Fy is really gonna milk this for all it's worth isn't it?

Also, someone needs to make Hurricage up there, just so we can get the sequel: Hurricage vs Beenado .

Oh wow, Sy-Fy is running competition to name the sequel to Sharknado.

‘Sharknado’ Midnight Sales “Bloody Good”

By THE DEADLINE TEAM
Fandango is reporting that Syfy’s Sharknado sold out midnight showtimes in three cities – New York, Boston, and Seattle – and additional showtimes were added continuously to meet fan demand. The cult phenom is playing on roughly 200 screens in movie theaters across the country. Fandango called the sales pace ”bloody good” for screenings hosted by Regal and NCM Fathon Events. Sharknado premiered on Syfy on July 11th, drawing just 1.4 million total viewers. But social media interest was high and a repeat viewing a week later on Syfy drew about a half-million more viewers. Starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, the pic’s nonsensical plot investigates the ecological nightmare of sharks caught in a tornado and falling from the skies into the streets of Los Angeles. The network has already ordered a 2014 version.

The sequel is officially titled Sharknado 2: The Second One.

:awesome:
