No. Part of the reason Jaws is so good is because you don't see the shark properly until the third act. And that's only because Spielberg realised he had to hide the shark prop as much as possible because it wasn't convincing enough. It's been copied in endless movies since.

It'd be interesting, but even with Spielberg I don't think it'll work. I have three reasons for thinking this: 1) Jaws 2; 2) Jaws 3-D; and 3) Jaws: The Revenge.

The sequels put such a stench on the name of JAWS that it would be impossible for ANYONE to receive a new Jaws movie seriously, if at all, no matter how well it was made. That said, I say they should have done what Zanuck and Brown wanted to do with Jaws 3 from the get-go and make a spoof, but given how many cruddy spoofs have been made lately I'd say even that's a no-go.

How much is there to spoof in Jaws? Really? You can exagerate the Quint character, you can make the shark look even more fake, you can have stupid airhead girls in tiny bikinis getting eaten because of their stupidity (even though Jaws has never been guilty of this, it would be the first thing that appeared in a Jaws spoof).

That's like saying you can't be a true Superman fan if you didn't like the Superman arcade game.

...and the Bruce I know and love wouldn't ever chew people up to get their keycards to gain access to restricted areas.

Yeah, as a Jaws fan I am intrigued by the game (who wouldnt? I mean, you actually get to be the shark in all the scenarios of the film!!)

but unfortunately, it's reputation is that it sucks huge balls.
