I heard about it but I don't think I will go see it really seeing movies on the big screen is really rare for me, I try not to take it for granted also I don't mind waiting for the movie to come out in stores at least I can watch it at my own home. t: I just don't like crowds I just like watching movies with family/myself. t:

I want to see the Sharon from the comics (no way she would have been overpowered so easily by Rumlow like she was in TWS). I suspect writers bias would leave Sharon suffering a humiliating defeat by Black Widow. I really don't want to see this.

Mad Max Fury Road is the best movie I have seen in quite a while.

There was only one good female character in MM:BF - Furiosa who was Mad Max in all but name and largely propelled by Theron's performance more than the writing. The old women were great but that was because of the actresses, they didn't have much screen time let alone developed characters, and the wives were as one dimensional as Victoria Secret models still on the page.

What I also loved about Furiosa, Valkyrie, and the older women is that their badassery is believable and natural. There wasn't a moment where their characterization or stunts came across as fake and it pulled me out of the movie. Yeah MMFR is hands down the best action movie I've seen in years.

Too bad since this is one movie that you need to see on the biggest and loudest screen. Everytime I see it my eyes are just glued to the screen. But it's not for everyone if you like plenty of dialogue, verbal exposition and dislike constant action.

I didn't like how Sharon got easily disarmed, but if you watch the moment where she fires at Rumlow her aim is on target but the bullet proof glass saved Rumlow.

Would love to see Sharon in a fight scene, and I need set pics of EVC it has been nearly 3 weeks and nothing.

Me too, at least establish them as friends after her cover was blown and fighting side by side at the end. There was plenty of tell instead of show between them. Yeah it was the studio that wanted more Widow, but then again the Russos could've given Sharon a bigger role as well.

Hopefully they show that Sharon and Nat are equals since Sharon did woop Zemo's ass in the comics.

Tony and Steve are the main characters in their own movie, so sure, we start at the beginning with them.

According to AoS, Coulson was recruited right after highschool. so that could have been the case with Sharon. Maria Hill is similarly young to be deputy director.

Comic book Sharon would have "wooped" BW, yeah no. She's good, but not THAT good. BW is one of the top fighters in the MU, who's had training from the likes of Cap, Winter Soldier, Daredevil, Wolverine, etc.

And using BW in TWS made sense. However, now I want Sharon to get more focus moving forward.

What I loved about Mad Max is that it embraced all types of feminine strength. Furiosa was amazingly strong, but the others all showed strength as well. Valkyrie, Keeper of the Seeds and the Clan of Many Mothers showed more natural badassery and bravery than recent female characters (including Marvels). Splendid was essentially a rape victim but had the courage to gather the others and defy Joe (I loved the scene where she blocked Joe from shooting Furiosa using what he had did to her to HER advantage). It was also great to see that Dag hadn't lost her femininity and could still reach out to and comfort Nux. Can't rave enough about the ladies of Mad Max.

If Marvel followed the Mad Max model the MCU would be very different imo. It would have been Councilwoman Hawley who kicked ass in TWS not Widow (I was disappointed when it wasn't really Jenny being badass). Plus we would get scenes where great scientists like Jane Foster and Betty Ross save the day and Sharon would not get beaten by Rumlow.

So she wasn't replaced by BW, BW was written as being in the film from very early on. One might as well say Sam replaced Sharon but we don't because people see it as one woman replacing another as if they're interchangeable because of gender and they're not.

Moreover, films aren't comics, films deal with "little" things like the star power of the actor and preexisting popularity of the character (though is important in comics as well) when they decide to use characters to their tell a story for hundred of millions of dollars. Go figure.

Bucky in the comics has his arm which is enhanced, has also been trained in combat since he was a young teen, is a master marksman, and made one damn fine Captain America. It'd be a close fight, and she might win, but no way she'd 'whoop' him

But Bucky is enhanced (comics and MCU) and has beaten Widow in the comics e.g. one of the post Winter Soldier comics around 2007. Widow put up more of a fight than in the TWS movie but she definitely lost. Ultimately its up to the writers.

For example, Bobbi is also an Avenger in the comics, and has had some impressive fight scenes in AOS recently so it would be nice to acknowledge more than one highly skilled spy in SHIELD. Again, in Avengers the writers created a scene where Widow fought Barton in close proximity - her strong point. If that scene had Clint fighting from a distance Widow would have lost. Sharon is a great markswoman and could take out Widow - its up to the writers how they construct the story to a characters benefit/disadvantage.

RDJ is a bigger star than Chris Evans, so should he have a bigger role in CW? Alternatively, Cap is arguably the most popular character in the MCU. The star power argument doesn't provide a good movie. It should be about characters and story.

Eh, people say Natasha replaced Sharon because both are SHIELD agents with less moral qualms. But sure, strawman away.

M&M have talked about introducing Sharon since 2011. They'd already used Peggy Carter, at the time a minor character with her only claim to relevance was that she was related to Peggy.

I don't doubt that the role of Steve's undercover neighbor was changed to become Sharon, but I find the story that Sharon only ever became involved then, that M&M didn't even think about her or that the Russos had to talk them into it, to be very very dubious.
