Steve as Peter Pan just replace Wanda with Peggy and you have Marvel's PeterxWendy, :ilv: Wendy was Peter's true love but he didnt want to grow up but Wendy did she got married had kids, Peter comes back to find her grown up but gets over it when he meets Wendy's daughter name Jane who he likes because she is related to Wendy. Steve=Peter, Peggy=Wendy, and Sharon=Jane :sly:

That rumor if I recall basically had her down as an extended cameo. She is still reportedly filming in Atlanta and has been there 6 weeks already. Not cameo sized. When the Russos first confirmed who was in CW they mentioned only three actors - - Chris, RDJ and Scarlett.

They don't pay Scarlett the big bucks for her to have a small role in a movie and Scarlett has no other scheduled film projects for this time period unlike Renner and Olsen. Looking at her overall schedule she's also shown no signs of wanting to slow down which is sadly the kiss of career death in a sexist ageist industry for an actress entering her 30s.

Her weight of personal sacrifice was choosing the Avengers and their mission over a life with Bruce when she shoved him into a hole to bring out the Hulk.

Scarlett on the CW script:

Well, that's a shame. I'm getting a little tired of BW and would like to see the newer actors getting more time to shine. This should be especially true for Sharon Carter since it is primarily a Captain America movie, not a movie about Civil War, and Sharon is important to him in the comics.

Well, I am getting a little tired of all the old avengers such as Cap and Iron man, but I don't think Marvel will cut their screentime or kill them all and let new characters shine, cause it's pretty stupid.

Sorry Peggy, but Sharon is taking your man, and there's NOTHING you can do about it!

Yeah, I wish she wouldn't have said that. Peggy and Steve kissed once. They kissed once. It's not gross and it's not wrong.

Those clips are hysterical and Hayley fantastic!

Steve/Peggy could have kissed "nunce" and he could still be stuck/fixated on her. Because Steve seems like the kind of character that fixates. It's the power of "what might have been".

Anyway I do think that Steve can and should move on but in this continuity Peggy is the one true love and Staron is problematic. And one wonders that if the makers were really serious about Staron, they would have cast the role better. Ever notice how the other "big 4" Avengers have primary love interests played by either Oscar winning and/or seasoned film actresses? (Yes, I'm sorta cheating by including both Bettys and ScarJo for Hulk.) Hayley was unknown to me prior to CATFA, but she was exactly right for the role and has proven her merit over the MCU.

Liv Tyler? Ok then. SJ's stunt doubles did a better job of playing Black Widow in AoU. SJ/MR romantic scenes in AoU were so awkwardly bad that it was good. Both trying to act like they're into each other was laughable, well at least I laughed.

But yes, I think they should've cast a stronger actress as Sharon, but who is capable and shares chemistry with Evans? They took a chance on EVC from what they've seen in Revenge and let's see if she rises to the task in CW.

Michelle Pfeiffer's characterization of Catwoman is far and away still the best portrayal of a female comic book character to date.

Also, hopefully they don't show Peggy as the one true love with Staron being problematic. Cap's pretty much a black and white person, and dating Sharon would challenge this.

Liv Tyler is show-biz legacy and had LOTR films behind her and at least one other blockbuster (Armageddon). She's not a prize-winner, but she's no slouch and has held her own against seasoned actors.

I just saw a movie -- not a good one -- for five minutes the other night and glimpsed an actress who had more screen presence than EVC. This was Abbie Cornish in the movie Limitless. Seems her name has been thrown around for the Captain Marvel role too. Don't know if she'd have had chemistry with CE, but she has something. And I'm not convinced of EVC's chemistry with CE..haven't seen enough, so time will tell that.

Michelle Pfeffer the best? Really? No love for Jennifer Garner as Elektra? Just kidding.

Why is Sharon problematic? I'm not understanding that. And I don't think you are giving Emily Vancamp enough credit... she's the star of her own show which was super popular and won several awards. They casted her for a reason... she's good, and especially good for Sharon. They definitelty cut back the role in WS, but hopefully she'll have her time to shine in CW.

Comic canon is not set in stone for the MCU.

Is it likely it will end that way? Yes. But it's not a sure fact.

Unless Chris doesn't want to work with Marvel anymore.

Wait, it's stupid to let the new characters shine? The new characters that they want to take the reigns of the MCU post Infinity War? Huh?

You can still let the new characters shine without killing all old avengers right?

Abbie Cornish?? I've seen her in Robocop, and A Good Year and I found her wooden, wooden, and boring. I actually prefer EVC's presence to Cornish.

And look how adorable Chris/EVC are.

I think Liv and EVC are in the same league in a way. There's a quiet presence about them, maybe it's there very feminine soft voices.

Just my opinion, but I find SJ's Black Widow a generic characterization of a female heroine. I prefer Lizzie Olsen's unique take on Scarlet Witch and no one can touch Pfeiffer's Catwoman.

Why would that challenge that?
It'll challenge it after he finds out Sharon's the niece. He'll probably question if he's overstepping some boundaries. Personally, I don't find anything wrong with it.

The Russo's would not have hired EVC and given her a bigger role in CW if they didn't think she had chemistry with Chris. We have to give her a chance as judging her on a role that lasted all of four minutes in TWS isn't fair at this point.

Black Widow wouldn't receive as much attention if other female characters like Scarlet Witch had been introduced earlier. Lizzie did a great job and I am more interested in seeing Scarlet Witch in the future. I also want to see characters like Sharon get appropriate screen time as well.

I was amused when fans were moaning about Marvel being sexist because there was no Black Widow movie, but kept on complaining when Captain Marvel was announced!

Ok did I say anything about WandaxVision? I was using the Peter Pan thing as a example of what StevexPeggyxSharon would be like, if StevexSharon happens even in the book Wendy marries a Lost Boy she even tells stories of Peter Pan to her kids, Peggy marries a Howling Commando and tells stories of Cap to Sharon. The reason why Peter likes Jane is because she is related to Wendy if a girl is a Darling and is related to Wendy then he will like them, isn't that similar to StevexSharon Steve liked Sharon because she was a Carter and was related to Peggy. :sly: Also nobody cares about Peter Pan? don't be to sure Peter Pan is loved all around the world, :cwink: people call it a timeless classic that story came out in 1904 and even to this day people ship PeterxWendy. :ilv: Wendy will and always be Peter's true love just like Peggy will and always be Steve's true love. :ilv:

Exactly. It seems though, even after AOU, the demand for a Black Widow has increased. Oh well, it was only one movie. I expect the fandom to increase for SW after Civil War. Black Widow has never been all that interesting to me. The simple fact is, Black Widow is no She-Hulk or Captain Marvel. No, its not that she doesn't have powers, its that she has a boring personality and is mostly the hot girl wearing skin tight leather and kicking ass. That's about it.

The thing is, most Marvel movie fans don't read much comics and just assume Black Widow must be the only female superhero. They just don't understand how She-Hulk is way cooler than her.

I actually don't agree on this point. I think the only thing that has increased after AoU is the volume of the chatter from a small, but extremely vocal group of Black Widow fans on social media. The number of 'normal' Widow fans probably hasn't changed, and I guess many now like Scarlet Witch as well (or possibly like Wanda more). You still get a number of people stating they don't want a Black Widow movie whenever the issue is raised.

Don't get me started on the arguments about Black Widow merchandise and how its a grave injustice to female fans - talk about stereotyping a group of people.

Give me characters like Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, Nebula and Gamora every time. Nothing against human characters though and I'm looking forward to seeing Sharons role in CW. It's disappointing that the hate against Sharon/Steve from this 'vocal' group is noticable as well.

Well to me I like the characters without powers it raising the stakes more when there fighting, I just can't help but to root for them there like underdogs, :woot: that fight between Daredevil and Kingpin was breathtaking. :ilv: Also I been liking characters without powers since I was little my all time favorite is and always will be Batman! :ilv:
