I wasn't sure if all the words there are suitable for this website so I didn't link it. Vulture updates it after each episode, the level of detail that goes into the series is incredible
I finished the re-reading of book and there is so many things that were hard to read and so shocking
- Camille listing the things the cops found in her mother's drawer
- The things Adora wrote in her diary
- Amma lashing out at Camille because she isn't bathing her like Adora did
- the dollhouse reveal
I wonder if they
do the arrest in episode 7 and then the whole episode 8 is the last 6 pages of the book with Camille and Amma living together,
I think that would work best.
Also they did few things differently in the show:
- They omitted some things but the references to Camille's father are still there, maybe we find out more about him?
- Richard, I hated him in the book. Mister good guy cannot even look Camille in the face after he sees her scars then never checks up on her again. He is more 'decent' in the show already so I wonder if he is gonna turn out to be a complete bastard here too
The TV version of Richard is less *****ey but Amy said they practically filmed the book just expanded it, so I guess he will still be *****ey. He's already snooping on Camille as per episode 6 preview and made a deal with the sheriff to provide him info on what Camille say's in Episode 4. So he's not entirely different from book.
So Camille actually got peer-pressured into attending a party mostly attended by people...who have to be at least 10 years younger than her, like college-aged at least.
Amma always wants the attention to herself. That's why she is mean to Mille when she is with Richard, she is jealous that someone else is stealing her focus
I just finished the book cause i wanted to read it before i continue with the show and i loved it! Patricia clarkson and the actress who plays Amma are amazing! They completely bring the characters from the book to life. I love them.
P.s. even the lawn is not safe from her lololololol
I don't know if it's intentional, but Sharp Objects at times needs better ways to end its episodes. These abrupt endings are almost as quick as The Walking Dead was back in its sixth season.

Yeah, that much I got. I just find it bizarre how she's practically hitting on Camille every time they're alone together, and Camille seems largely unfazed by that.
That last episode was fantastic, as usual. I knew what Adora had done the moment we saw her smiling, at the beginning of the episode, when she was preparing Amma's "medecine". We have never seen Adora this happy before.
I'm sure Alan knows what she's doing but doesn't have the balls to confront Adora. That's why he's always listening to music I think, he rather ignore what she's doing to Amma. They might as well had blindfolded him.
The actress who plays Amma continue to be fantastic. Well, to be honest, the whole cast is amazing. I love how all of the supporting cast could look like killers, based on the way they are filmed. Even the sequence of the sheriff preparing to work was creepy in one of the last episode. It makes it harder for the audience to figure out who the real killer is.
I think deep down, Camille knew what her mother was doing to her sister, or at least suspected it, but never confronted her which led to Marian's death.
Seemed to me like Camille didn't know, but that the signs were there. She has that memory of watching her mother with her baby sister from the staircase. Seems to me that the current events sort of jogged her memory of that moment and put things fully into perspective.
In the book Camille continuously tells herself thinking Adora did it is stupid until she has too many clues to deny it anymore. She never suspected that before

Yes, she heard what her mom said and she was 15-16, so she understood in some capicity, what she was doing.
I think deep down, Camille always knew her mother had something to do with Marian's death but she never digged more (which is ironic since she's a journalist). I think it's a truth she chose to avoid cause her reaction wasn't "OMG" like she was really shocked, in the last episode.
Plus, in episode 6, her dead sister aka her subconscious said to her "You're not safe here", the you was maybe about both Camille and Amma. So I think, she kinda knew that her mother was a danger.
What I want to know is, why didn't Richard DO anything once he realized what Adora was up to? Maybe he can't arrest her yet but he could have at least gone to the house and checked on Amma or something. But instead he just left the file with Camille and left?
That's why the change from the book is weird as hell, in the novel the way it goes is that SHE finds out about MBP from the nurse and then tells Richard who tells her he was already suspecting Adora because of the Capisi kid seeing the Woman in White etc.
