Shawn Ryan and Martin Campbell team up for "Last Resort on ABC"

Good news that they are going to wrap it up, and who knows, we may see it again down the line, fingers crossed.

What a shame for this show to get cancelled. Happy, yes, that we are getting an actual ending, but still. This is one of the best shows going. Next to NCIS, this is probably my favorite. It will be missed.

Wow, I REALLY hope this show comes back, it gets better every week, tonights episode in the UK was superb, and I am getting really attached to some of the characters now.

don't get TOO attached... only six more eps to go here in the States and then the show is officially sunk... :csad:

^I know, sad, sad news, one of the best shows on TV this, the tension is great, and the sub scene's are superb, really wish another network would pick it up.

Watching this last episode, my wife and I would turn to each other about every 10 minutes and say, "How come no one is asking where COB is??"

It's kinda weird that the writers completely ignored his capture and torture from the previous episode and didn't have a single character show concern about his absence.

Robert Patrick probably has other commitments elsewhere...

or else he just bailed and jumped ship... :hehe:

see what I did there?...

I doubt that, especially when he's under contract on a series that shoots in Hawaii.

But even if you're right, it is poor planning by the writers or schedulers to not even somehow mention his absence in the episode following such an important ordeal.

could be that with notification of the show being axed, maybe he got an early out on his contract...

but you're right... mention SHOULD be made about his character...

You seem to be trying to condone the fact that his disappearance wasn't even mentioned . . . that's OK, but I seriously doubt it had anything to do with Robert Patrick himself.

This episode would have been filmed and edited before the announcement was made that the show was ending, so I think it is unlikely he was already gone from the production.

I'd sure like to know what the thinking was behind this glaring omission . . . but then the show does seem to show events that it later sweeps under the carpet (Bruce Davison murdering a cabinet member? evidence of valuable oil on the island? Autumn Reeser's dad?)

Sorry, man, for saying you were trying to condone the writers' laxity --- I could have sworn the second line of your post was not there when I first replied to it!

We're cool.

Wow -- I thought last night's episode was possibly the best one since the pilot! Terrifically shot and edited for lots of suspense.

And we finally learned why that team of SEALS was racing out of Pakistan way back in the first shot of the series!

Didn't even miss Seurat or King's bar-owner girlfriend (I think she may have left the series) or the French woman!

And despite the one line reference to Robert Patrick's COB, I still find it puzzling that no one is more concerned about his absence.

One of the things that does bother me about this show is the seeming lack of concern for the crew. Again I draw from my years in the Navy but in all the ports we pulled into the buddy system was enacted. No one could go anywhere without someone going with them. People on this show are grabbed left and right and no one seems to do anything about it. What happened the MAs and security detail? Seems to me that security would be beefed up the first time someone got snatched.

I never thought we were otherwise...

don't sweat it, man...

Caught up on the last two eps, both were good and this weeks looks like it could be the best yet but surely they are going to acknowledge what happened to the T-1000, I mean he's still crawling around in the jungle with his fried feet and nobody has noticed?

Just watched the most recent episode. So much happened...plot twists galore! And Lau from The Dark Knight!

It's bugging me even more that this show has been cancelled...it's my own fault for continuing to watch at this point. But I *really* enjoy this show...I hold onto the small hope that another network will take a chance on it.

Same as with Terriers. Does hollywood hate this guy smh

I didn't see the double twist in the last ep coming, now Sam can have comfort sex with the French Lady without feeling guilty. Chaplin giving China a sort of outpost on the island was an interesting development, as was the Navy Seal team leader popping up back in the US to sell the helmet cam footage to Autumn Reeser.

Maybe China knows how valuable the island itself is.

They do now lol

Am I the only one that felt some sexual tension in the last scene between Captain and the CIA Spy chick? I thought they were gonna kiss for a second

You're not the only one. It's there, I think it's intentional, and it's icky. None of that, please, lol.

I just saw the episode.

I had a feeling about it for some time now with hopes that I was really, really wrong. I guess not. :funny:
