With proper lighting and camera-work (and bit of color correction as is always done in post-production phase) it will look great on screen.


Edit: Personally speaking , I love the shade of Red they have chosen for the suit.

Shazam looking damn good. Figured that terribly angled, grainy photo wouldn't do the costume justice. DCEU hype levels rising again. Please don't hurt me.

The only issue I have is unlike the suit for Cavil and Affleck the suit for Captain Marvel makes it look like he didn't workout for the role at all.

Doesn’t the Harley Quinn toy rather point to this film not being in the DCEU though?

Suicide Squad also featured merchandise of Batman and Superman. There was that guy on the street selling Batman and Superman T-shirts, Joker's Batman shorts, a member of Joker's gang is wearing a Batman mask.

Oh, yeah, I get all that. But why a Harley toy? In the DCEU she’s a psychopath, and a part of an underground, secretive black ops unit called Suicide Squad. Why would there be plushy toys of her?

Also, the Superman toys have the red trunks. Why would they have the red trunks if it’s meant to be Cavill?

For that matter... the Batman toy has black trunks too!

Those toys look more like DC Comics inspired, which suggests in the Shazam universe, DC Comics exist, thus being not in the DCEU.

I really like the costume. Like, a lot. I'm the first to tell you when something DCEU displeases me, but so far, I am pretty excited for this movie.

Well, heck, an officially released photo almost seems unnecessary at this point. The fact that Zachary Levi has tweeted today as the photos have gone up makes me think that he at least must be aware. Though that's needless and baseless speculation on my part.

It's pretty much perfect, and about as good as can be expected, given modern costume design "demands". It's a really nice blend of classic and more modern elements, and just a striking costume in general.

Is the texture on the suit the same pattern that's on the cape? Looks almost that way.

He looks just cartoonishly over the top muscular enough for it to work in context.

And the tiger emblems...yes.

Very impressed with the suit now we've got a closer look at the material, very similar to Superman's suit fabric which is a good thing.

I hope they make the logo really pop in post-production.

The Dceu may not exist in shazam's universe, but being magic centered, the wizard could prolly transport him to any universe, or bring someone else in from another.
( that's If the films a hit and they want to make a sequel )

And oh, I dig the suit.
