How old is Mary Batson (or whatever her name in this) meant to be? She definitely can't be Billy's twin.

She looks cute here and young, but I recall that she isn't that young. She's at least 18 or 19, or possibly older.

Krypton has already replied to your question. In New 52 version of DC Comics, Mary was his sister but adopted & raised by a different family, hence the name Mary Bromfield instead of Mary Batson.

Why do you so readily jump to conclusions so often? Did you just ignore the being adopted by another family post to explain the name difference? That they are taking lots of inspiration from John's run?

I mean, it's super easy for photos or even trailers of stuff to get leaked or on the internet if you have the skills of a ninja, if these photos or even the leaked trailers of Infinity War are any indication. It's not impossible that you've got that one person who gets just close enough to get a quick picture.

Seriously it is funny how people are reacting to this. We're people on the Captain Marvel board like this? Set photos don't mean you need to release an official picture especially since this is Shazam we are talking about not Batman.

I wish they weren't going so heavily with the Johns version. I love Captain Marvel and want to be excited for this film, but I cannot stand the New 52 Shazam, which this film seems to be treating like holy writ.

I was desperately hoping they'd kept the classic symbol, every new reveal just entrenches how loyal they are being to the one take I can't abide.

The funny thing is if you called him by his original name (which by the way he had first) people would be all over this movie and it would have a ton of support because they would've thought it to be a Marvel movie. Be it good or bad.
