The hair does look a bit unnatural. I don't know how to explain it other than it looks like the type of costume you'd see for some amusement park character.

That’s a good way to describe it. As much as I’m not a fan of how Snyder has his Superman and Batman suits made and find them goofy, this one feels more so. And I’m not really a fan of the New 52 suit anyway.

For me, it’s like the Flash suit from the old live-action show. The puffiness is too funny-looking for me.

I like the costume. It does look a bit cosplay ish, but so did Dr Strange in the set pics. And that one looked great on film to me. Cannot wait to see how it looks on film.

Well, it just now dawned on me that that's practically the same Rebirth Superman suit.

There's hardly any detail on the suit besides the texture. It looks like something you'd see a fan wearing at Comic Con. Even his hair looks fake and over-the-top. Like this:

Hoechlin’s Superman costume is actually great proof of something looking off in images but in action with the shows filters it looked absolutely fine.

I don't like the fake muscles but the suit looks exactly like how I wish more movie superhero costumes did... simple, colorful and reasonably faithful to the source material.

Shazam is essentially a kid's imaginative idea of himself as an adult superhero. There's always been some exaggerated elements to the character, let alone his design. Look at Alex Ross's take on him.

Shazam is essentially a kid's imaginative idea of himself as an adult superhero. There's always been some exaggerated elements to the character, let alone his design. Look at Alex Ross's take on him.

Then doesn't it make sense that he look badass? If he's the manifestation of a modern-day 15 year old kid's idea of what looks cool? Unless this a period piece, Billy's suit would look like Superman's or any of the other modern heroes in DCEU. It Wouldn't look dated and cheesy.
