It's supposed to read as beer.
Yet before you (and potentially the internet) have some kind of communal heart attack from the image , if you follow what we know of the scene from the trailer and preview.
Although they enthusiastically ask for, and buy beer.
In the follow up scene the bottles are replaced with cans, likely now soda, chips and junk food. As the scene plays out, it's likely they spit out the disgusting beer after trying it, and then quickly go back for the fun kid stuff.
So what's the concern?

As for behind the scenes shooting (it's honestly hard to tell what you are concerned about) ; it's likely fake anyway, for the kid [Freddy] more than likely replaced with something fake, and even if not, it's likely just there so he can spit it out. Nothing to be alarmed about.

Just a guess.

Did we ever get any follow up confirmation on whether certain actors like Michelle Borth would be playing the adult versions of the children characters? Or was that purely a rumour?

I still think the boy they got for Freddie should've played Billy Batson, and they could've gotten someone else for Freddie. Asher Angel just doesn't seem like Zachary Levi at all, especially personality-wise, and seems a bit subdued. The actor for Freddie seems like he would've grown up into Levi instead.

Its pretty much confirmed by toys and screen tests that we're getting the Shazamily. So the adult versions will be played by Michelle Borth, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good and DJ Catrona.

As for a trailer. It's pretty clear that WB has changed it's marketing strategy with regards to their films. Seems like their smaller films only get 1 full trailer while their tentpoles get 2 full trailers. Seems to be working out well for them as they didn't have a single bomb last year.

I'm not sure they defined the "amplified power" for Billy, Mary and Freddy though. But I would say it's Power for Billy, Stamina for Mary and Courage for Freddy.

WB has changed it's marketing plan. I think someone else was put in charge of marketing, so gone are the days of getting a teaser/trailer a year before the film debuts or having 4+ trailers. I expect two trailers plus an extended look like what they did with Aquaman/Fantastic Beasts.
