Oh wow, good on WB for deciding not to drop the trailer today and take attention away from Black Panther's water cooler moment.

But seriously tho, Black Panther & the other Oscar nominated movies will dominate the social media discussions for the next couple of days so WB was wise not to release the trailer today. They've already officially released the sneak peek which is usually followed by a full trailer so we'll get one within the next few days.

If they are closely following the N52 relaunch (which (other than Teth Adam) they mostly appear to be) they should appear just in the final act.

Also the question wasn't if they will be in the movie, which is pretty well known.
But how much they will be in it, which isn't known or spoiled, we are just speculating.
But for any latecomers I'll put them in.

Or at least Universe adjacent, so they can meet, even if by "magic", although I'd save anything like that for potential team sequels.

The first 2 should be Shazam and then Adam specific
Then the third specifically those two clashing.

Anything after that, by all means connect the universes, bring in Superman, Wonder Woman,, Aquaman, etc...

Yeah he seems to get let off by some people but I guess that’s the scooper game. Mario talked about it once that you have to be careful what you say as often they’re fed false information. El Mayimbe has been burnt many times as a result.

That’s one thing I like more about Mario and why I trust him, he’ll tell us what he’s heard but he’ll always preface it with the details behind it and weigh up why it could be true or not. Then take Daniel RPK who seems to just jump on any info he has like it’s true, no details behind it etc. He will also tease his scoops as huge things and then they aren’t or do those vague gif file hints at news he knows etc. That’s why people get pissed at him.

That's nice. I was hoping to see Meagan Good sport the short haired look so this pleases me. I wouldn't usually see new footage since I've seen enough to get hyped for the movie but I'll watch the new trailer or fast forward to the relevant part just for a glimpse at the Shazam family.

'Shazam!' Director Compares the Movie to 'Ghostbusters'

By all appearances, Shazam! is going to be a pretty funny movie. The most recent teaser for the upcoming DC Extended Universe film has in particular highlighted that aspect with its "not so serious" tag and some genuinely funny moments featuring the titular hero. However, even with all of the lighthearted humor, Shazam! will have depth according to director David F. Sandberg, touching on darker subject matter without ever becoming too bleak.

It's that balance between the two, director Sandberg told reporters during a visit to the film's set, that gives it a feel similar to that of '80s movies -- including Ghostbusters, a film that it was recently announced will be getting a new sequel.

"It's a fun movie," Sandberg explained. "It sounds like a pure comedy, but it touches on some pretty dark subjects... I like to compare it to 80s movies like Goonies, like Ghostbusters and Back to the Future. Like, it's a family kind of movie, it's not dark and grim."

That description actually makes quite a bit of sense, considering that the film follows Billy Batson (Asher Angel), a foster kid whose life gets turned upside down when he's given the magic powers to turn into an adult superhero (played by Zachary Levi). The idea of foster care has some less than pleasant implications to it, especially for Billy as Sandberg has previously described the character's goal in the film to be finding his family.

"He's trying to find his family... His mom is still out there," Sandberg told ComicBook.com at San Diego Comic-Con. "But once he gets these powers, he's just trying to figure out what to do with them and how it works. For that he needs his friend Freddie, who is like a superhero expert, who helps him to discover his powers and how to be a superhero."

The family theme also makes it very much the family movie that Sandberg describes, something that carries over to the setting of the film.

"Yeah, it's all about family and like Christmas time and this family holiday," Sandberg said. "It's about finding your family ... with these foster kids and everything. So yeah, it's very appropriate for the story."
