Anyway, he's a decent choice in my opinion, but he doesn't have *quite* the star power I think they'll want to go for. He's more like someone they would pick if their first or second choices turned them down.

The thing is, You don't want a huge star for a part like this. Jerry has a fan base but he doesn't have the baggage that other suggested actors do . Antoher plus is that he's only 32, Younger than Warburton and if there's a sequel he will still be youndg enough for the part.

Yeah you do. Captain Marvel isn't a character that has much real name recognition nowadays (unfortunately). So the studio is definitely going to be looking for someone to counteract that. Like I said before, he's not a bad choice by any means, in fact I would be perfectly fine with him. he's just not going to be first on the list for people the studio want to hire.

In fact, I checked IMDB the other day and the Rock is already in Segal's latest movie, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what winds up happening. Maybe Segal will actually pull it off.
