She-Hulk

Really dug the latest issue of She-Hulk. It's just painful reading this knowing that Dan Slott is leaving the title in just a few short months. It'll be a sad day. But until then I'm enjoying the great story that he told this month. Dug the Iron Man owning and definitely looking forward to seeing how badly Jen screws him over. Financially that is. She screwed him over just fine as She-Hulk already, heh.

Hey don't be sad, I got a feeling his moving on to greener or is that webbier pastures. :woot:

I hope

Gluon. The gods that direct the elementary particles of our universe look down upon thee in disgust. j/k What's up? I wanna go out, but Albuquerque on a Saturday night is just short of a safe good time.

Damn, my bad. So you know, I feel drunk but had nothin to drink. :o Not much, just surfing the boards. I went out earlier an' saw POTC 3. I want my damn money back.

My friend here in Alb wanted to take me to that, but he had other things to do tonight which were apparently "Too important to miss out on". :( Was it that bad?

I thought it was a fun movie. those who were expecting Citizen Kane were in the wrong theatre

For all the things I've seen and done, I've never seen Citizen Kane.

I dunno....I just found it to be a mix of the other two, an' a lot of things felt crammed. Not to mention really rushed. Don't get me wrong, there's some cool swords fights, an' the special FX were awesome. But there was also some random scenes that were put together. Kinda made it forced and boring. And I still don't know what I think about the end. Guess you could say I'm 50/50 with it, but hey, don't let my ****ty review stop you wanting to still see it. :o

The dialogue was horrible. Tony felt like the person couldn't come up with anything original, so he just snipped and pasted things from other books.

I wasn't really talking about Tony. I was more refering to Clay and his team. It came off as kind of forced. Especially just before Clay arrested The Leader. Alot of unnecessairy exposition there. Plus, I disliked that they brought The Leader back at all. His death gave the character a great deal of closure, what with him gaining enlightenment and all.

Yeah. This issue just felt like another Rocky film. Unnecessary and utterly unwanted.

More or less. And really, that's not the first time Slott's disapointed me recently. His arc on JLA: Classified left me a little cold. Especially since it completely disregarded continuity, and his knowledge and respect for continuity was something I always respected about Slott.

Eh, every writer has this problem once in the while. I'm not going to say Slott should probably be burned at the stake. I'm just saying he could've done better.

I'm sure it was a blip. That's why I'm not up in arms about this issue. I didn't like it, but I'm not mad. It really didn't do anything that changes anything, after all.

Besides bringing back The Leader. If you haven't guessed by know, I really enjoyed how they killed him off last time. Perfect send off for the character.

Still, I'm not mad or anything. Just a little disapointed, I guess.

Yeah, the Leader did kind of suck. But since Hulk is coming back, there's probably going to be a whole, "Why don't we use former Hulk villans to try and bring down the green mean?" So I'm not really suprised.

Though I agree, I wish Leader died and stayed dead.

Especially since his death was perfect closure. He made peace with Bruce, aknowledged his faults (including his ridiculously yet also incredibly dangerously cartoonish insanity), gained enlightenment, and then intentionally cast off his corporeal body (i/e: Died). Wasn't exactly commiting suicide, though. More like making his heart stop by wanting it to. It's a spiritual thing. Hindu Yogis do it sometimes. Kinda cool.

Anyway, if they'd brought him back as some sort of spiritual entity, or as a reincarnation who was still all enlightened and stuff and was helping others find inner peace aswell, that'd be cool. But know. He faked it. Which doesn't even make sense, since no one besides Bruce knew he was dead (although after a while, I guess some started to assume he was).

I know I'm probably sounding obsessive with this. I'm sorry. But there are no takesies-backsies when it comes to enlightenment.

I don't think it's obsessive. It would be absolutely out of character for the Leader to actually want to give up higher knowledge to go back to just scrapping by with limited intelligence that he had as the Leader.

Even though she didn't hurt him, she kicked Tony's ass. I don't get why you guys didn't like this issue.

Kicking his ass sort of means he has to be really hurt. He just resumed to taking off his helmet and going back to work like nothing happened.

And the Mandarin could've showed up with Galactus and Eternity, and this issue still would've been dissapointing. More so in fact if that happened.

*Coughs* Umm... Just how did Iron Man get owned? Throttled a bit, sure, but he wasn't really damaged. And Jen ended up losing her powers altogether. If anything, JEN got "owned."

He got owned because she did beat the crap out of him. It's easy to win battles when your armor contains super duper I'm gonna kill anyone with gamma radiation in their blood serum. And besides, it's like Jen said right at the end...he may have taken care of She-Hulk but Jen Walters can sue the armor right off his back. THAT'S ownage to the 10th power, baby!

For some reason I have a feeling multi Billionare/director of Shield Tony stark, is not to worried about being sued.

He certainly looked worried to me in that final panel. Unless he was taking a dump in his on board armor toilet.

Yeah, because Dan Slott has been known on these boards for his horrid writing and suck ass continuity.

Once again, he didn't get the crap beat out of him. She threw him like once, pinned him once, and he stripped her of her powers in a single swipe. If anything, he totally owned her with the whole "I only need one shot" maneuver.
