    Happy Thanksgiving, Guest!

She-Hulk

I always said to myself that I was going to start collecting She-Hulk comics cause of all the acclaim I heard Dan Slott getting for the series. Finally got around to putting down the cash for some of the tpbs.

Question, I bought Vol 1 and 2. These were the first issues of Dan Slott's run right? How long is his run entirely and will I need to know any backstory on She Hulk to fully enjoy his run?

His run isn't over yet, but it will end in a few issues. You don't need to know a thing about She-Hulk to enjoy his run, although it wouldn't hurt.

Just finished reading Volumes 1 and 2 of Dan Slott's run. Definitely going to pick up the other volumes as soon as possible to get myself up to speed for Peter David's run.

It's a very very addictive read. Really couldn't put it down. All the praise that the title gets is well deserved.

always liked she-hulk..just never read the books until civil war...I'm sooo hooked now

That's also because Dan Slott is freakin' awesome. :woot:

I was very glad to see the old cast back in this this issue. I was still enjoying the book, but felt he was sort of forced to get away because Jen is so tied to the current big story. Stu's not dead! And Pug's back! Can't wait to see why he has a bobbed hair-do. Now, we just need to have Awesome Andy back. Haha, he should come out of no where and just punch Hulk out, and that would be the ending to World War Hulk.
So PAD's taking over? He's pretty good. I'll miss Slott so much though.

When are they changing artists cause Dan Slott or no I am never gonna pick up another issue of this title with it looking the way it does.
Never.

Probably when Slott leaves the book and PAD takes over.

Shawn Moll is taking over as the regular penciler when PAD's run starts. But I don't see anything wrong with Rick Burchett's art.

Sometimes Burchett's art is just...strange. Like, things that should and would be symmetrical aren't.

Sometimes, sure, but I just chalk that up to the kitschy quality that makes him such a good artist for She-Hulk in the first place. I think the total package he brings is as perfect as you can get for the book, short of going back to Bobillo.

I also miss Alphona doing Runaways. I like Ryan's stuff, but it's just not the same. Any word on Alphona's next project?

Well, I wasn't overly fond of Bobillo's need to redesign established characters' costumes randomly. But other than that, he was keen.

Bah, super-heroes deserve a change of clothes now and again just like everybody else.

Yeah, but he turned Beta Ray Bill's hammer into a spiked mace during that Champion arc. Clothes, sure, that's cool. But you can't just randomly decide that the hammer a guy has carried for 20 years is suddenly a mace. It's... weird.

Superboy Prime punched the hammer into being a mace.
