I didn't expect they would be going with a subtitle. Sherlock Holmes 2 would have been fine with me. Yeah, and dropping the 'A' would have been better.

I usually hate subtitles, rather they just have numerals. The only movies that I think really pulled off the subtitles are the Star Wars and Indy franchises (and even they started to sounds a bit odd).

I don't mind it not being called simply part 2...it adds more mystery and that's what Sherlock Holmes is all about anyway it's fitting just not a perfect fit. It sounds more like a bond film but I dig it.

I like the subtitle. I actually prefer subtitles to numerals, as long as they come up with something clever (i.e. something Michael Bay is incapable of).

I mean, think of what they could have gone with instead...

Well, harry potter started out as a book series and that is common practice to let everyone know it is a new adventure of harry potter. Especially with teen and children novels. Plus given the amount of time between the books release its best to go that route.WB just kept the full title for marketing and respect to the books. Besides most fans only say the subtitle when refering to the books or movies.

Haha, the beauty of the picture is first seeing Watson and his bride, then once you look around you notice Holmes who looks like hell.
