Opens today? Wahey, I'll see it next week then. Thought we had a while till it was out, and Empire gave it a nice lil' review.

I give it a 9, it was great just I was a little disappointed it didn't blow my mind

my reaction to this is much like At World's End, I loved the movie, but I thought it was going to be a little more than it ended up being, maybe I set the bar to high, but I was thinking this would be the definitive action movie of the summer, and I thought it was excellent (especially the mid-air shoot out) but I don't think it stood out of the crowd of this summers great flicks, which is the problem every summer movie has this year imo, which isn't nessecarily a bad thing just there isn't the definitive summer movie, they all are about the same around a 9.

which is in itself a tough thing to ask of a movie, to be definitive but I thought this one had the most potential too

again great movie, my expectations may have been a bit to high though

man.. just seeing that one short scene of him shooting at the car roof window and jumping down from the bridge, baby in hand, is enough to make me wanna see this

And the guns blazing sex scene wasn't?

I'm waiting for all the gun owners to imitate that scene with their significant other. "Come on, baby girl, it's gonna be hot!"

gave it an 8. it was alot of fun IMO, but only 87 minutes :(

Two words: ****ING AWESOME!

Funny thing there were a couple of old people in my theater, don't know if they knew what kind of film they were in for. Lol.

High strung inventive action from beginning to end.

Why do people do that? I always see these senior citizens going to see R-rated raunch fests or suburban moms with their little kids and what not. You don't check what this stuff is beforehand? I suspect that's why a lot of crappy flicks get good box office...people just go see whatever is playing when they hit the theatre, or the poster looks cool.

Seeing in it about 3 hours, can't ****ing wait.

This is my most anticipated movie of the rest of the year.

I really think people who expect it to blow their mind need to calm down.

It is 80 minutes of snsless grautitous over the top INSANE AMOUNTS OF FUN with gun battles and the likes. This is what 300 could have been.

^If it delivers that, it will blow my mind.

I don't think 300 could've had many gun battles though.;)

I'm sitting here waiting for reviews tomorrow saying, "the movie was fun, but didn't have any depth. I really wanted to get into the mind of Owen's character, he was so one dimensional."

Yeah, and don't forget the "I don't know what the big fuzz is all about" crowd :csad:

I've actually read some early IMDB reviews complain about "no character development and the movie is just ridiculous and too fast paced."

/\ Exactly! It all comes down to- "will people get the movie?" I think it's easy to understand that it's just meant to be, and is, an over the top roller coaster ride.

Just wondering, in your opinions which do you prefer this or Crank? Personally I though this film was definitely the better of the two.
