Lets take a look at the current situation of the X-books and their artists:

Astonishing - Bianchi
Uncanny - Dodson and Land
Legacy - Eaton and various
X-Force - Choi and Crain
Young - Oliver
X-Factor - Stroman

Now let's look at their schedules. Uncanny, Legacy, and X-Force have all been able to come out relatively regular and on time, and probably a big factor in that is the fact that they are using more than one artist to get it going. Bianchi, with his rather detailed style, has already been hit with delays which are threatening the book to go back to the shipping problems it had with Cassaday. Young and X-Factor have also stayed rather on schedule, but both have had the problem of not really keeping a regular artist around for long.

So, what could be done? Well, the most obivous solution could be to put two regular artists on each book on a rotating schedule, which would allow one artist to get a jump start on their arc while the other artist is finishing up the current one.

But, I'm not just suggesting to throw together any two artists willy nilly. One of the things that I will admit that X-Force has over Uncanny is its artists. Choi and Crain fit together a lot more, with their rather realistic and almost 3-D look and feel to them, than Land, with his realistic figures, and Dodson, with his more cartoony looking characters. One of the things that I think should be a must if this were to happen is to use two artists with similar styles so that there isn't such a jarring difference to the readers as they're reading.

So, what are your suggestions?

X-Force artists are relatively fine, aside from them being wasted on that book I feel, so they shouldn't need a change.

Uncanny, they should pick Land or Dodson and then another artist with a similar style to the one they pick. I'd rather the X-Force artists take over this book and move someone else over there.

Legacy, I really like Eaton's style a lot and I think the use different various artists in the flashbacks works to let the reader know easily what is a flashback and what isn't.

With Astonishing, Bianchi is a very meticulous and detailed kind of artist, so it will be rather hard to find someone with a similar style as his. They're gonna need someone else who is just as detailed, in probably they're own way since Bianchi is so unique, and I would suggest someone like Stjepan Sejic.

X-Factor, Stroman just needs to go and thankfully that's happening in the next issue with Valentine Delandro coming on. What's nice about Delandro is that his style is quite similar to that of another former favorite of the title, Pablo Raimondi. Getting these two to rotate the art on X-Factor would be a major positive for the book and make fans really happy.

Young is still young and hasn't really had any artist stick around long enough to make any kind of impact on the book, and I don't feel like Paquette or Oliver have brought anything special to the book. Upcoming artist Rafa Sandoval, who did the Secret Invasion arc for Incredible Hercules is good, so maybe he'll do something nice with them, but I can't think of anyone to pair him with yet. Anyone else have any kind of team they would like to see on this book?

I don't think revolving would be a good idea, because one decent artist, such as Choi, should be enough to make fans enjoy a title, two lousy artists, such as Land and Stroman, revolving would only have two reaction: make one wants to pull his/her eyes out badly and even more so.

Well, yeah, that's why I suggested that if they do get revolving artists, it should be two good people with similar styles. While Choi is easily one of my favorites out right now, I don't think he's the quickest either and would have trouble sticking to the monthly schedule year round, so I think it's smart that he's paired with Crain. And as I said, Stroman is pretty much done on X-Factor, and with Delandro coming on, now would be the perfect time to get Raimondi back and put the two together on the title.

I agree with the similar styles. I find the transitions sometimes jarring. I'd like my books to come out on time, but I don't want crappy art either. Some guys are worth the wait. :)

ditto on the similiar styles. I dont know whose idea it was to stick Land and Dodson together on UXM, bc they are so different. Thats definetly not the best combo. Crain/Choi is the best art combo in any of the X-books. X-force is the best looking book and I wish the others were so lucky to have a great duo like this

Putting Choi and Crain on X-Force is too much of a waste of their talents imo.

which is why I wish Choi was still on UXM. I dont know what prompted the decision to remove him and put him on X-force. UXM is the top book and he's the best artist we got right now. Why not keep him there?
