alright first off I'm sorry if there is a thread on this. I used the search engine and couldn't find any threads on this.

Now I'm wondering if you guys think they should or shouldn't change Bats costume for the next movie. Also wondering if you think they are going to change it?

I think they should change it, but the change should be gradual from each movie to the next.

I kind of would like to see something along the lines of this.

sorry I guess I just found the thread for this. but anyways I think they should pick something like one of these, and then gradually over the course of the next two movies they should just gradually change the coloring from what it is to this.

And the survey says......no!

I have the position of believeing it's not good to mess with a good thing and not to fix things unless their broken. The Bat-suit is good and not broken, so mitts off.

I like the suit. People got so worried about the hi-tech design of the chest and you barely notice it for most of the movie.

The suits look "schumacher colourful Batsuits" sorry to say that.

You know, those don't even look bad, but I don't think I'd want the color to change.

Yeah wouldn't it be pointless for the colors to change like that? Suit's fine as is, really. The odd stuff like the chest doesn't even show up onscreen, for the most part, as ultimatefan pointed out. I like the gold belt 'cuz it's kinda traditional, and I like the overall look of the suit. The "bulkiness" that some people don't like is actually to its favor, as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't be offended by minor changes but neither do I feel that they are necessary. Overall I want to see some consistency from film to film this time. I hate that you can tell just by a picture of the bat-suit whether you're looking at Keaton '89 or Keaton Returns. He should have looked the same in both movies. And the twelve different bat-suits worn in each film by Kilmer and Clooney, "well it's Thursday, where's my neon codpiece, Robin?"

:(

It was my personal opinion that in the first movie the costume he had made him scarier which was a good thing. I think what I got up there looks "cooler" but for the first movie he needed to establish his character development in the scare the **** out of you department.

I don't think this is anything like Batman Forever or Batman and Robin. Actually this is is just more like the comic book.

Persoanlly I like the middle one, and I would like to the coloring in the second movie be like halfway between the one I got up there and what we had in the first one. Than in part 3 make the costume just like the middle one.

He'll usually be in the dark so it wont make any difference. I just think Batman should have his costume from the comic book. The armour of course is extremely important and everything. I'm just saying the color make it look pretty much exactly like the comic book.

I've never seen Batman wear red or green in the comic books.

the one of the left has a cyan tint. the one in the middle has everything lightened, except the bat, cape, and cowl. I didn't change the color of anything for that one. just lightened some parts. thats just the lighting.
It does look like it has a brownish tint.

A few small changes should be made. Change the cowl first off, don't make it squeeze Bale's cheeks so much. Also do something with those ears girlfriend.

The Cowl was perfect, the Suit was perfect, Everything was perfect. I don't like the coloring idea, it takes away from the darkness of Batman IMO, and I had no problem with either the Bat-Ears, or Bale's....cheeks?

The only change I would make at this point is alter the cowl slightly so he can move his head better.

Well this cowl was meant to be the best one cause any person in it can actually move there unlike others

but as far as changes go, maybe some minor alterations that go with his progression

This cowl was the best one. But that's not saying it can't ever be improved.

In terms of head movement where else is there to go with it? Its as flexible as they get

My thoughts exactly. Just dont change the overall look of the suit that much - hopefully any improvements will not be superficial.

For the first time I would have to agree with Stormin Normin. I have to say I found the costume from BB perfect, the best costume that I've seen in a bat-film. The problem with changing his suit colors to dark green and blue are that Batman used stealth a lot in BB and we'll probably see more in BB 2. So my point is, that black (the color of Bat-suit from BB) will help him hide in the darkness better and sort of camouflage in the night when he's confronting villains better. I don't know about you but to me dark blue and dark green don't look good on Batman especially in a dark Chris Nolan directed movie. Not to say that BB 2 will be dark so black is perfect, just keep the same costume from BB. No tweaks except for the cowl are needed in that department.

See, you have stopped making threads and thus you are now a decent poster. Congrats! and welcome to the Lightside!

That's a good post however I believe that any one of those I got up there would acheive the same effect, unless a flashlight is shining on him. You have to remember the color of something isn't the only determining factor in how much it blends in the darkness. Look at the black weblines on Spider-Man's costume. they reflect so much they practically look white in the first movie. In the second movie they changed it so it wouldn't be as reflective, but it still is reflective.

Look at how much light shines off of black cars as opposed to other colors. It's all about composition and chemical make up and texture. In my closet right now with the doors part way open there is a large brown piece of wood and a black jacket hanging up inside of my closet. the jacket is way easier to spot than the piece of wood, simply because of the way light reflects.

That's because for most of the movie he's just crouching or they're in a close up.
