Bale did great. I would not mind if they darkened Batman a little, but it is important to keep the distinction between Bruce Wayne and Batman. I think TAS when it took on the Superman style animation lost that distinction.

Yeah Batman could be a little more badass. Kinda like he was when he was interrogating Flass. After all, every criminal element in Gotham is soppose to fear him, so i believe Bale will deliver the goods.

Plus, if the sequel IS called Batman Strikes, as has been rumored, that title tells us right there that the aggression will have to be turned up a notch.

Not really. He was just Batman. I mean he's very serious most of the time, and pretty grim, and he doesn't waste his time explaining himself to people, he just does what needs to be done. But he's not really a dick or anything.

Um. Batman behaves different ways to different people. He was plenty scary in BB, except when he was talking to people he didn't want to scare - Gordon, Rachel, the homeless guy - i.e., around his friends. This is the proper way to portray Batman.

That would be my guess. As I understand it, Snipes wasn't real happy with that. Of course Goyer never really took Blade seriously - it's not worth taking seriously - but it's probably Snipes' last meal ticket, LOL.

From what I've heard, it was during the filming of Blade Trinity. Snipes didn't want Goyer to direct in the first place and was upset the entire time, he was also upset that the actual character was getting less screentime and it was divided up between him and Biel and Reynolds. He would refuse to work on occasion (a lot of the shots with him in the background are of his stunt double and the put Snipes face over his during editing) and was known to just stay in his trailer smoking pot. He also complained that their weren't enough black people in the film. He rarely ever spoke directly to Jessica Biel or Ryan Reynolds and had his assistant say even the smallest things for him. He was also reported as never calling Rayan Reynolds by his name and just referred to him as the "cracker".

From what I have heard he never got along with Goyer during filming, but threatened his life when Goyer refused to let Snipes edit the film. Snipes wanted editing control and Goyer would not only not let him, but he wouldn't let Snipes even in the editing room with him.


Of course this is all just rumor, there was an article about this that I read a little while after teh film was realeased. I'll see if I can find it again...

yea i like his "inhuman" approach to the character. it really gives the criminals something to fear. plus if Batman gets shot, i dont wanna hear say "Motherf@%! you crazy?!" i HATED that part.

This is the biggest pile of crap i have ever read. I can't see Snipes calling white people the 'C' word with the majority of the set being white, and also Triple H was around. I believe 80% of that article was BS.

That's very possible. Personally, I believe most of it to be correct, but I have no proof, just the article. It could go either way.

Hmm, never thought of that. Snipes did play Blade really well but I think if Bale was more like him in the Bat suit would be too much. That would make him too dark of a character I believe and Bats is still starting out really so not like anything dramatic/traumatic has happened to make Batman act that (like death of Jason, Barbara being shot, etc).
