The New 52 is here. But there is talk that the current titles might change, some could get cancelled or new titles could get added.
What comics would you like to see be part of the New 52?

I'll start. My idea: I am surprised that the Atom doesn't have his own title. There are several comics that have their own title that are somewhat shocking and are maybe a risk, the Atom could fall into one of these but I think it would work. They could go at it from a more scientific angle or something.

I want a new Booster Gold solo series and a Power Girl book.

I dont have anything particular in mind, but i think that Cyborg should definitely have a book, or at least a small mini series about his origin. Shoehorning it in JL doesnt do justice to him, especially when DC wants to make him one of the big players of the DCnU, and one of the founders of JL.

Right now we know that he was a basketball player in high school who got radiation poisoning by a boom tube and some hax armour will save him. 10 bucks says he's gonna be fighting in the next issue. Its rushed and cheap.

Hax is slang for something that's ungodly good.

Anyway, for me I'd like to see Captain Marvel (which we are getting in JLA, but he's deserving of his own title). I like the Atom idea, too.

Captain Marvel

Red Robin

A Damien Robin series

Captain Marvel
Whiz Comics
A new Secret Origins comics
A mini series showing Batman's early days fighting crime, expecially his first encounters with the original Red Hood
New Gods

Oh yeah, Captain Marvel. You know its coming soon. 1st as a back up in JLA around #6. But I am sure it will come eventually, thats if its popular enough. And its being written by Johns right? and being drawn by Gary Frank, so I am sure its good.

Cyborg would be good too, since he was a major player during Flashpoint and is now part of the JLA story. He is being set up as a big deal. I like him too. Just hope his past isn't rewritten as him never being a Titan.
I think a solo for him might be just as risky as anything else they are doing right now, like OMAC or Hawk and Dove or Voodoo. An Atom series is along the same lines as that too, just as risky as say Captain Atom and Hawkman and the others.

I wouldn't put my money on that actually being good. It's called the Curse of SHAZAM. Sounds like another one of them Johns retconns. :o

Also, Ralph and Sue Dibney: Ghost Detectives. :awesome:

Yeah, I fail to see how a ancient wizard giving a kid the ability to turn into a superpowered adult, who has a talking tiger as a friend could be a curse. People really need to stop trying to improve or update the character. Any comics staring Capt Marvel should be upbeat and fun.

They have mentioned in JLA #1, I think it was, that people all around the city had been abducted mysteriously to test if they were worthy or something like that. So, so far, the retcon is that Billy wasn't the first choice right away. Still I like Captain Marvel, they have to call it SHAZAM for legal reasons and calling it a Curse might not really factor into it too much, and I have liked most of the New 52 so far. So this could be really good.
But if the Curse thing does factor in it will probably be about how Billy is a young kid, maybe a pre teen, with the responsibilities of Superman. Its like Peter Parker on a grander scale. Plus it could also be about how he has no parents, and being a kid who is also secretly a superhero no friends. But I hope they don't make him to mopy. Like Parker I like how Billy loves being Captain Marvel and has fun with it.

I would also like to see a Young Bruce Wayne/Batman story, possibly along the lines as the Superman story. Semi shake things up without really changing anything and with good art.

A Ghost Detectives story sounds interesting, don't know if you were joking, but it does sound interesting. Just the idea of a married couple who are ghosts and detectives. But something about it also bugs, maybe its just the idea of bringing up how Sue died and the whole Crisis thing about her being raped. I don't like that at all (that part of the story).
But since we have been told that the Crisis on Infinite Earths didn't happen, does that mean that the other Crisis stories didn't happen too? So are Ralph and Sue alive?
I digress...

Nah, they confirmed that that still happened. Throw everything else out but for some reason that boos**t still plays.

I'd rather it was just an Elongated Man book or maybe toss in some back ups in Detective. (Which I've always felt shoulda been an anthology book. Not just for Batman but all the Detective types. Question. Detective Chimp. The Dibneys, etc.)

A Red Robin series would be great. Just bring Niceiza back and pick up where the last one left off. :o

Yeah, now that we can actually look back on it in hindsight, there was absolutely no reason to cancel RR.

Agreed.
Would really like to have that series returned, with its creative staff intact. I wouldn't mind giving up Dark Knight or Detective in exchange for other series. Would rather not have Detective dropped/cancelled due to its history, but with the way it's being written I really can't justify buying it.

Is Vic as Question alive again, or did his death stay canon?

Incidentally, has there been any word on which of the DCnU 52 are being cancelled/replaced? Or at least being looked at as replaceable? Six months was the cut off, yes? Or has that changed?

Solicitations for #7's should be out next month. Guess we'll know then!

I'd like a series of Metal Men and Doom Patrol.

I've always wanted to read up more on Doom Patrol, but they never seem to be in circulation long enough to try and catch up on them.

Don't really know anything about the Metal Men save what was in 52. Heard about them though.

Probably fell under streamlining. I bet there are only so many titles they wanted to have comprising the Bat line, and why bother giving a series to Tim when you could give one to Batwing instead?

The real JLA with no armor and Martian Manhunter back as a founding member...

Losing this wacky obsession with Cyborg as some kind of A-lister would be nice, while they're at it. I just played DC Universe Online for the first time and who should turn up in the opening movie like he's some kind of integral member of the JLA? Cyborg! Bwuh?

"We need a black guy in the JL, but we're too busy riding Hal Jordan's jock to use John Stewart. Who's left?"

"Black Lightning, Cyborg, Steel, and that dude with the trumpet."

"...crap."

If you guys are this cruel to a guy that got his junk burned off I'd hate to see you interact with a simple limb amputee. :o
