I still say there should have been a continuity reboot at all.

Dc should've just done a reboot of all of their numberings, plus made sure that every title was no reader friendly, and - essentially - just discontinued any old story lines and started fresh with new storylines, character arcs, etc.

Much like a pre-op transsexual, it would've been the best of both worlds and would've pleased nearly everyone.
