Sequels Should Black Cat be the love interest in SM 4 and 5?

Black Cat could be a love interest in a future movie, but not like any other love interest in any movie I've ever seen. Say she is a longtime fan of Spidey and practices her gymnastic skills to near perfection to become his partner and lover. However, once she becomes the Black Cat and meets Spider-Man, he rejects her. Her love is unrequited. She becomes obsessed with him and he sees her as a nuisance. So she works with the movies major villain to attack Spidey, planning to double cross the bad guy to look like a hero to Spidey.

Its actually very similar to the very first ASM issues where Cat shows up. Peter sees her more as a disturbed woman that needs help than as a viable partner.

It's not a bad idea, compared to all the other suggestions. But I still don't want them hooking up.

All I know is there has to be a female character for Peter in the story. They have really back themselves into a corner with this whole francise.

I know that, p4p. But to say that there should be absolutely no romantic element in any superhero movie is extremely unrealistic, especially one which has been built so largely around his relationships from the get-go. But I think it would be substantially less annoying-to you & all others-if Peter & MJ weren't being made to compete for each other's affections over & over.

In my opinion, Mary Jane has gotten stale in the films. Boring. However, Peter Parker is usually a more interesting character when he has some sort of love interest to deal with. To me, it doesn't really matter who the love interest is, as long as it's an interesting relationship.

1-the annulment was a horrible idea & this sentiment is shared by most fans.
2-by that logic, we never should've seen Harry since he was already dead by the time the first movie was even in the discussion stage.
3-Peter is not Bruce Wayne or James Bond. He doesn't need rotating love interests. Best to keep him true to the woman he's loved since before he even liked girls.

That's how I see it. Gwen was there to kind of test him. He's wanted MJ & nobody but MJ since he was 6. Nevermind the fact that throughout high school & part of college, he was always the loser/geek/outcast, so it's not like girls were exactly fawning over him. He's never faced temptation before. Now he's gotten over that hump & he can rededicate himself to the woman he truly loves. And MJ can likewise stop seeking comfort in others and be there for her man like she's supposed to be.

I understand that everyone has their ideas of how the franchise show proceed forward; but, we cannot forget what has been established. The fact of the matter, if Sam Raimi is continuing forward with the franchise; he has perspicuously set the foundation that Mary Jane Watson is the only girl in Peter Parker; therefore, Spiderman's life. The first film clearly stated and began, "this is a story about a girl... that girl, Mary Jane Watson". To completely go 90 degrees, totally against the grains wouldn't completely ruin the film; but, cast a huge hole into the character of Peter Parker and this journey of life lesson. Remember, it all is centered around the "Love of his Life" and "Great Power and Responsibility". Those are the only thing that he cares about.

Gwen was not a factor(sadly)... she was a tool against the "Love of his Life" which he had to take "Responsibility" for. So Sam will not introduce any other women into the mix, unless she is a tool against the "Love of his Life". That method has played out about as much as MJ being a damsel is distress. Sam has pitted the franchise in a corner, by basing Peter's Journey on Love first and Great Power and Responsibility second. It should have always been the other way around.

So again, I think the addition of Black Cat would be good in a Spidey flick, not as a love interest or just a big flirt; but, as an underlined, unrecognized crush, if you will, cause of the two interacting closely with each other in the given situation they find themselves in... at least unrecognizable by Spidey. I mean come on, we are talking about Sam's geeky version of Peter Parker, who can't see his way out of a paper bag at times.
