Perhaps a moot point as nothing indicates the Mouse is considering this, but I can't help but think about it. There's a few cool deleted scenes we've seen or have heard about, and certainly some room for improvement in terms of consistency. Do you think Disney should do as George Lucas once did and revisit these films? If so, what would you like to see?

I have to marvel at how of the 11 Star Wars films released, it was the original trilogy that received most of the updates and changes

I don't know about special editions but there are a few deleted scenes from TFA and TLJ that would've been better off put back in, like Kylo Ren inspecting the Falcon on Starkiller Base and Luke's reaction to Han's death. It's absolutely stunning to me that the latter scene was removed. But even if they were to put them back in, it'd probably be nothing more than a Disney+ release.

Agree with you there; I liked the scene where Kylo visits the Falcon and there is an interesting scene cut from TLJ where Rey goes to what she thinks is 'the rescue' of some of the Guardians, and Luke tells her the Jedi would not have done that; but knowing Disney they'll put it on Disney + which I have no intention of paying for.

As for TROS - seen enough of that.

I totally see why Luke's grief was cut for the edit. "Where's Han?" cutting to Kylo's face is a great moment. Luke grieving alongside Leia grieving is also good, but from where that shot of Leia ends up you can see why things were shuffled around. For a special edition though? Work it out and put it back in. It's a nice scene that fans would enjoy.

One that I feel strongly about (that I bet no-one else would) is actually the extended Canto Bight chase. There's a few fun gags in there, but the piece I would love to see restored is the alternate ending to that. Nothing major, but Rose spends a moment with the horse before letting it go that I thought was adorable.

I agree on those pieces you mentioned for 7 & 8, and there's probably a bunch of 9 on the cutting room floor. That film desperately needs an alternate cut imo.
