Should Hercules be introduced in the MCU?

I wonder if Hercules has tricky rights issues? I mean, so many studios have done their own Hercules. Maybe marvel is worried if they make one, someone else will make another and people will get confused especially if the other one is terrible
Stuff like that becomes public domain after a certain time, so that anyone can use them. I don’t think people would get confused even if someone made another Thor for eg, unless they looked very similar.

Making the focus shared between "Amadeus and Herc" would also help

Yes. In fact I'd introduce him and Olympus in Thor 4. After the events of Endgame, Thor would lead his people to Earth and encounter the Olympians. Maybe they seek asylum there. The story then goes from there. There's a conflict of some sort that's overcome in two hours. :D

Thor and Hercules would have to work together. They don't much like each other at first but come to respect each other by the end. Enchantress could be the villain. The Olympians help rebuild Asgard and Thor introduces Hercules to the Avengers in a post-credit scene.

I would have no problem with this what so ever.

It’s funny, I reckon out of all the superheroes Hercules is perfect for adaption for now. I could see him with a protein shake in the trailer and doing the “cool story bro” thumbs up meme.

I wonder who the villain in the first picture would be?

What the heck, this is actually a really cool idea, except I'd name the movie after Hercules. It would give Marvel the opportunity to make a 4th Thor movie without "breaking" the trilogy.

Well, Ares is kind of a no-brainer.

Bit of a rehash for Wonder Woman though?

I hope at least one character says “honey you mean Hunk-ules”

Maybe but I'd say a proper adaptation of Marvel's Ares would probably be much more memorable than Wonder Woman's Ares, whomst sucked
It would be difficult to be worse.

Have at this!

Protein shake :D

Hulk, Thor or Herc would be a great marketing asset for any company involved in this.

Lol, exactly. I like Wonder Woman a lot but Ares is easily the worst part of the movie, so needless to say I'm firmly against the idea the Marvel shouldn't use their version of the character just because DC beat them to it.

Yes, definitely the worst part of a good film.

I don’t think Marvel will worry too much about that if they are prepared to use Namor after a well received and high profile character with a similar background in Aquaman.

Random idea that popped into my head: Juggernaut. Make him the other side of the meathead macho coin.

In mythology Hera is more of a no brainer. She turned him mad and he killed his children. She is the reason he has powers and she tried to kill him at the age of 8 months by sending two giant snakes into his room which he killed.

Be interesting in what direction they go with him.

Oh yeah Thor would be such a great after credits scene. Like the whole movie herc can brag that he beat Thor in battle once and in the after credits sequence someone asks Thor about it and he’s all like “who?”

Ha, that would be cool. I love juggernaut. Still, you kind of need a villain who can outthink herc too

Even better: make Zeus the villain. I hate how pop culture keeps whitewashing his actions, the guy was simply the worst. It's time to expose the allfather for the piece of crap he was.

I doubt that hercules relationship with zeus will be the same as thor and odin.

AFAIK pretty much all of the Greek gods were ****s. Hades and Hephaestus were relatively okay but even they did some messed up things.

Not sure what you mean, Thor and Odin were on friendly terms. I want Zeus to be the antagonist.

Yeah, they were all *****es.

Same as all the gods in those times including jehova. They were representations of forces of nature so were not inherently good or bad.

I'm saying that they will probably not be loving father and son as odin and thor were.

Where do you think they could set the story? I could see Herc fitting in nicely at muscle beach but maybe that would clash with iron man’s setting? Still, obviously this would be set in the post iron man era
