Should I buy Avengers Disassembled?

Other option? Take the quivers off, strap them to a Kree soldier and hit the soldier's jetpack. Same Kree-killage, no Hawk-sacrifice.

But that takes too long.

How are they wrong arguments? A quiver is essentially a backpack, think about how fast you can take off a backpack.

Fairly quickly.

However, as people seem intent on ignoring, hawkeye had 4 seperate quivers on going by the art with the straps all interlocking with each other. It's substantially more difficult to take off 4 seperate backpacks (to use your example) especially if their straps are covering each other (as his was).

Secondly even if he succeeds in getting all four quivers off in the maybe 7 second period this took place in he still has four explosive back packs to get rid off in a very very short space of time that he himself couldn't accomplish and the people that could were rather occupied in the midst of a fight (the first thing hawkeye said was that he needed help and noone responsed and even then i doubt they would have had the time)

As darth says too long, I doubt the entire sequence took more than 10 seconds which given he had also just been shot in the back probably impairs his ability somewhat.

Surely the soldier the minute he left the ground would be back in control of his jetpack anyway?? So no, not the same kree killage.

I was a Hawkeye fan LONG before that scene, kiddo.

It was a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE scene. And yes, Hawkeye IS that fast AND that strong to throw something like that out of harm's way.

And WHO THE HELL would strap grenades to their back without a quick release latch???

Yeah, I love how people assume we became Hawkeye fans over night.

Yeah, and I also just realized who the hell we're trying to reason with. No point.

Absolute twaddle.

He had roughly 10 seconds and it would take at least 3 to get the quivers (4 of) off his back (and I'm being generous here). He is a non enhanced human I suggest you try lobbing a satchel full of arrows (AFTER being hit in the back by a blow strong enough to knock you clean off your feet) and see how far you can get them in that 7 seconds window. I doubt it would be the required 50 odd feet (of course he was in the middle of a city also so he'd have to aim as well just in case ).

Absolute nonsense Doc. Absolute nonsense.

Hawkeye apparently.

Yes, again...CRAPPY writing. WHY would none of the Avengers help him?

If ANYONE blames Wanda, I will stab you in the jaw.

Yeah, im not getting involved any further, once gildea has something set in mind, theres no changing it.

hah you all know im very, very reasonable. but you all should be happy that your "hero" died like a dumbass err... like a Hero

they were busy fighting.

Apprently the kree aren't polite enough to stop trying to hit you in order to help out a mate in the 10 second window he has left to live.

Yes, a horribly mischaracterized Hawkeye written by a completely offbase egotist.

In what way was he mischaracterized exactly?

Tsk nonsense. If you present me with a decent and PLAUSIBLE argument I'll happily change it (has happened loads of times).

You simply haven't and neither has doc :
a) no explanation of how he could remove the quivers in the required time
b) no explanation of how he could get rid of the explosive quivers to a safe distance in the required time (himself as apparently no one was on hand to help)

All arguments that have been made thus far have ignored most of the particulars of the situation (discounting the times you've just posted pics).

i dunno...these guys fell in love with a dead man...well, hes alive now... so they would defend his honor to the end

No offense, but in the matters of Bendis, youre not the best person to talk to from a neutral perspective. (Not syaing I am, but I give him props when he gains them).

None taken.

You are correct I can't claim neutrality for bendis.

I would say though disassembled had a good few problems but i don't think hawkeyes lack of ability to remove a quiver was one of them.

:)

Here's how we remedy the situation. We take a poster from each side of the arguement. We make each said poster put on the quivers, which would weigh about the same for Hawkeye. We'll shoot you in the back and then we'll see if any of you have enough time to take them off before you explode.
