Should I get Xbox 360 now or wait for PS3?

It's free, but you get what you pay for. Don't expect it to be as good as Xbox Live.

Nintendo's online "service" is also free, but you need "friend codes" (you won't be able to make friends online) and there's not supposed to be voice support.

It's not going to be bad at first, but when you just end up playing with the same people over and over again, with no random matching which you can pretty much always get over Live, you'll end up seeing the same play tactics again and again, without ever learning new ones.

Over forums I guess you could exchange codes, but even still, it's so limited compared to Live.

And no voice...

as much as i'm known as a sony 'fanboy' on these boards, i say get the 360... especially since microsoft denounced the rumors of a price drop when the ps3 hits.

i mean, eventually, the ps3 is going to have some awesome games, but before that happens, the 360 is going to have more than enough games to warrant owning a system.

It's still possible. Do you think MS would say "Yeah, we're gonna drop the price $100 when the PS3 is released"? Of course not. That'd hurt sales. Nontheless, the 360 is worth the $400. This is coming from a big Nintendo fan too. Anyone who frequents this section can verify that.
