Forgive me if this has already been covered. But in my eyes, not only is she no longer a mutant (barring her immune system rejecting the "cure" as I previously suggested) but by accepting it, she's turned her back on everything the X-Men stand for.

she will be getting something packed, that's forsure

It's true that she has turned her back to the X-men but i guess the X-men won't turn their back on Rogue. She is not a mutant anymore bust she is still their friend.

Well, I can see Bobby growing a little cold toward her.

(Hee...I made a funny without trying to)

The other kids at the school? I think there would be some hard feelings there, and they would shun her.

There is bound to be some repercussions about her taking the cure. It's not likely to be all happy happy joy joy now.

You could be right but anyway I don't think Logan will ever turn his back on Rogue. So:)...there will still be someone to stand by her side.

I'm saying the kids at the school may shun her, not the adults. Heck, kids shun other kids these days for having the the wrong brand jeans on. It's not that far-fetched that some of them may view Rogue as a turn coat or whatever.

Possibly, my friend.

Simply based on what happened to Magneto, it's fairly safe to say that this cure isn't permanent in some cases, for whatever reason although the OP does give a very good and believable one.

The X-Men will not turn their backs on Rogue, it would be an affront to everything Xavier stood for to do so.

Besides, if we're lucky, maybe we'll get to someday see the REAL Rogue on film, sugah!

I see Bobby growing a little hard now that rogue is cured ;)

Isn't Xavier's dream all about mutant-human coexistence? If so, it'd be stupid for them to send her packing, as you put it. She should stay.

It's also about acceptance. It's about mutants embracing who they are & not trying to be something else. How can mutants & humans coexist if there's a way to just turn any mutant normal?

we need to start a thread on Rogues sex life

will she give it up right away

will she wait a little bit

will she wait for marriage

will she become a nun

who knows??? we need a thread like this

I would like to see this issue adressed in the movie. It could provide some good drama.

I want her to stay though, there are humans that are X men allies, like Moira for example. She could teach possibly, does she have any other skills.

Teach? She's still a teen - who still needs to be in school herself in the movie. Send her packing? I don't see them kicking her out (though Storm might have bad feelings) but in reality, the school is for mutants and there is nothing to teach Rogue about being a mutant anymore. I would think they would say send her to Moria or another school. Certainly take care of her in the normal moral sense but she is not what the school is there for and for all Wolverine's so called connection to Rogue - she's not Rogue anymore nor does she have the alienation that he identified with her for in the first place. I would expect her to drift from all the people around her (including Bobby - especially since their connection was as much about her needing someone who ignored her power as anything more deep) as much as they drift from her as there is not that connection anymore and suspect she'd want to leave after awhile. Sure she might come back as an adult but as a student, it is not the school for her anymore. It's like if she was at a military school and suddenly decided she was not going into the military for her own reasons.

Also it seems to me now that her mutant issue is over and that was supposedly the only reason she left her family - why wouldn't she be going back to them?

After what she's done, and what everybody here has said, I still don't think the best solution would be to kick her out. What would that achieve??!

well the cure isn't permanent so...
